For the sake of enjoyment, this movie rocks! Don't know why people gave it such a bad review, but I think these folks are over analyzing the movie. It's not supposed to be a deep movie with complex plot. If you watch the movie just to have a great time, I'll give it two thumbs up!Also, I learned a few things about bra and how one is designed. I'll never look at it the same way after seeing this movie. I always wondered why some bra are so cheap and some so expensive. I just thought it's a marketing hype. Who would have guessed that there are some science to the process! The actors/actresses are quite convincing to me, but I do agree with what some of you said about Gigi. She's a little stiff in this movie.Overall, I had a great time watching the movie. I'll recommend it to anyone else!
... View MoreThis BRA needed to be 10 times more sexy or 10 times more funny than it was. BRA never makes it to sexploitation status. It us much too modest. Also, the featured characters are two men who are too dry and stiff to let this film develop into a good wacky comedy. Funnier Hong Kong movies have been made. Sad to say, this BRA only packs about an A-cup's worth of entertainment.
... View MoreThis is one film whose concept you can see coming a mile away, but you wonder how hasn't it been done before. Mind you, you do feel glad that no one else has, because this is one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time.Samantha (Carina Lau) is a high-powered executive of the Hong Kong division of a brassiere manufacturer. In a meeting with directors, she is told of a surprise plan to break with condition to hire two men to come up with the design of the "Ultimate Bra". In come Johnny (Ching Wan Lau), a men's briefs designer, and Wayne (Louis Koo), a serial womaniser, who become the focus of attention in the firm, as girls flock to them and they learn the secrets of what makes a good bra. However, this comes to the dismay of Lena (Gigi Leung), the firm's top designer, who ensures that they really do get their hands dirty and learn what it takes to be a top bra designer. The story is wonderfully written and very imaginitive. One would immediately want to draw comparison to Hollywood's What Women Want, but there are very few similarities in the gags. The compulsory cross-dressing for the female experience has to come about, but the way it was done was very amusing and different to What Women Want, and what added to the humour was that whole scene was obviously very naturally and spontaneously filmed. The dialogue was excellent, especially Johnny's. All the characters really developed well making you relate to them and the whole story isn't very cheesy. The script was simply brilliantly thought out, with lots of dilemmas and problems thrown in the way of the characters, and it was interesting just to see how they'd handle it.All in all, I have to recommend this film, because it is simply very funny. Enjoy it!
... View MoreThis film about the breaking of tradition for a bra company is absolutely the funniest non-Stephen Chow HK movie I have seen. Louis Koo and Lau Ching Wan were absolutely funny and they showed great chemistry. The highlight scenes include Lau and Louis wearing bras as a bet against Gigi Leung and when Louis uppercuts a lady who kept pestering him. These are just some of the laughs in the hilarious comedy. See it!!!!!
