KILLING SPREE is a pretty extreme slice of indie comedy horror from the 1980s. Very poor quality and long forgotten indeed, it sees an ordinary guy (played by an actor with the incredible name of Asbestos Felt) being driven insane when he suspects his wife of adultery. He subsequently goes on a killing spree of all those he suspects are involved, but there's a supernatural twist in store when it turns out that the dead won't stay dead, much like at the end of MANIAC. It's an ultra cheesy film with plenty of overacting and at least one scene which rips off RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD quite openly. There are some surreal touches. The gore is very explicit but in a rubbery, fake-looking way so not disturbing at all.

Here we have "Killing Spree", a movie by Tim Ritter, about a man Tom Russo, who faces problems at work, haunted by the actions of his ex-wife, and fears his current wife (Leeza) will cheat on him like his ex. These fears become "reality" when he finds rough drafts for stories his wife is writing (entirely fake). Not realizing they are stories, he goes on a killing spree (wonder where they got the name), murdering everyone mentioned in the book. His neighbor, an old lady, finds out and tries to get Tom to murder her husband, he instead murders her. Those he has murdered come back as zombies and he kills himself.First, the story is kinda lame. But what do you expect? The story is never the main point of low-budget splatter movies, it's the gore. Which leads me into my next point, the gore. The gore is good, a few good deaths (like the old lady), and a few lame ones (the "decapitated head"), it dishes up enough blood so that this movie isn't a total waste of time. The acting can be described as an amusing attempt at amateur acting. It gets pretty bad, but not to the point where you want to shut it off. The people he kills tend to over-act a bit, but Tom and Leeza manage to act enough like real people.I give it a five, it's a decent attempt, and fans of low-budget gore flicks will like it, but casual horror fans will find limited enjoyment.

I watched this movie a couple times so it can't be too bad.It has it's moments and the dialog is very funny. The main character Tom is a hoot, the stuff he says just cracks me up.The gore is alright, the best being the old lady next door. The characters are a riot, the TV repair man who's a karate expert?!?. The delivery man, acted like a real macho man, the lawn surfer dude and his van, haha. There's no nudity and I think the main actor Tom says the F word once, after he drops a screwdriver on some dudes head.Oh yeah that reminded me of a funny line "You screwed my wife, so I screwdrived your head". Ha.The worst was the ending, it did't make any sense at all. Also the very last shot of the movie, with Tom jumping up through the steps... what's up with that?Overall though a funny and entertaining movie that I enjoyed. If you don't mind no budget, terrible acting and effects, you will too.

This is a film about a guy who thinks his wife is cheating on him, so he kills off a bunch of people while having flashbacks of his wife doing these awful things. The main character cuts a girl's head off and tosses it from a really tall height, and it lands on a guy and kills the guy. She must have had a REALLY hard head. Also, check out hilarious deaths involving chainsaws and lawnmowers and splattered entrails and the like. For whatever reason, all the characters come back to life as ZOMBIES at the end... uh, yeah. If you're into serious horror films, you'll probably hate this. The movie is surprisingly NOT played for laughs, though it's way too ridiculous to take seriously most of the time... But, anyway, I liked this film a lot, and I think you will too.
