I LOVED this movie. Bravo! Finally a horror movie with some heart! Unlike so many forgettable serial killer movies out there this one is actually going to stick with me. It's another one of those recent indie horror movies that's so much more brave than anything Hollywood would dare to make. The characters feel like real people, admittedly pretty twisted people, which makes the situation all the more tense. At the heart of the movie is a weirdo love story that is almost more uncomfortable to watch than the scenes of murder. Don't think yourself too twisted if by the end you finding yourself rooting for the serial killer!
... View MoreWow. This is by far one of the strangest, most engaging independent films I've seen in years. It's part horror film, reminiscent of REPULSION or HENRY: A PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER but also has a fascinating, uncomfortable love story at it's center. It's the kind of film Hollywood would never have the balls to make. The actors are both great. The film must have been shot for very little money but the production value is excellent. Zachary Hansen is a director to keep your eye out for in the future.
... View MoreThis movie had me from the get go. It definitely had intense action sequences mixed with poignant character development. I was deeply moved as I love movies about serial killers and this one did not fall short. In fact it had more heart than most serial killer films because it really got inside the psychosis of the main character. It's also better really well shot for such a low budget movie. With all the bad horror films coming out these days this one really stands out in the crowd. It just goes to show that with some creativity and care you can accomplish a lot without having a huge Hollywood budget.9 out of 10!
... View MoreZachary Hansen's Killer Me is a chilling psychological study of two people building a very unusual relationship. Even when you think you see what's coming, this film keeps you off-balance and draws you in to the emotional turmoil of the two lead characters. George Foster makes his character, Joseph, come alive in all his technicolor torment. Christina Kew gives a great performance as the strangely bold-yet-timid female lead (Anna) who sometimes seems almost to take her own breath away with her actions. Watching the relationship evolve between these two is fascinating, and only becomes moreso as the story unfolds. This film is not for everyone, but will appeal to a broad range of film fans, while refusing to neatly fit into any single category. There are things in this film that we never figure out or know for certain, but one thing that is certain is that Joseph is emotionally disturbed, and suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome. Anna is obviously not only attracted to but somehow drawn to Joseph. This is one of those rare films that succeeds in leaving the viewer satisfied without answering all the questions and filling in the blanks.Neal Fredericks, cinematographer for THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, also filmed KILLER ME.The promotional literature for this film says: "Killer Me is a mysterious, unsettling film that gets inside your head..." and this picture delivers on that promise.
