I really like Kevin Hart. I like his movies. I like all of the stand-up he has done to date. I wish him well. "What Now?", however, was difficult to watch. It started with a 15 minute self-indulgent James Bond take off that was more WTF than funny and went downhill from there. I felt embarrassed for him and robbed of the 30 minutes I invested watch (yes, turned it off half way through).
... View MoreFirst off, I'm a huge fan of Kevin Hart. Over the years he has blossomed into a great actor and a great comedian. Watching what now made me really disappointed. Kevin hart used the same material as he did from a couple years ago. Everyone is looking for the next bug thing and Kevin Hart didn't exceed in that. Also, making a movie/ comedy show isn't really a great idea. I wanted to see action in this movie. What happened to the guy that Kevin Hart stabbed? Were his guys ever going to find Kevin Hart? Kevin Hart should just stick to doing comedy movies with Ice Cube and Dwayne Johnson. Very disappointing! And as you saw, many people in the audience weren't please they were expecting more.
... View MoreI am and have been a huge fan of Kevin Hart, especially in all his movies, but this was a huge fail. The most entertaining parts where the Bond theme. As for the comedy portion, I feel bad for all those who paid to fill a football stadium to see KH.I only smiled and chuckled in the last 15-20 min of the show (I did not laugh once though), and the rest was dragged out far too long and didn't make any sense. His stories where boring and not funny. Where was the punch line about the raccoon that he saw (and his dad)? He kept saying he doesn't lie in his comedy. So then he was lying about this raccoon or he was smoking some really good stuff. Showing concern for only himself and not his family is not comedy. Huge disappointment and a little loss of respect after watching what I expected to be a stomach hurting comedy.Poor Philly.. even when the cameras caught some of the audience they where like 'wtf?'. Please stick to movies Kevin, at least until you have some better, funnier, original material.

Luckily, the funnyman in this comedy chose to return to his vaudevillian roots.Short statured special agent 0054 (Kevin Hart) and his astute partner (Halle Berry) enter a high-stakes poker game against a Russian terrorist. But when Hart's inept antics raise the ante, he must perform comedy in front of 50,000 fans in Philadelphia to save the day.But with all of his great achievements can Kevin still rock the mic with an R rated routine comprised of relatable topics, like race, fatherhood and wildlife? An awkward mash-up of cameo-centric spy-thriller and cable TV comedy concert, this vanity project bombs at both genres. With the former being a poorly conceived sketch and the latter lacking any decent laughs.Incidentally, stand-up comedians make the worst spies because they work top-secret material into their act.
