Jayam Kondaan startled me with a very sober opening scene on a rainy day where Arjun offers a ride to Brindha and they share with good words. But, the moment the plot point is revealed, the screenplay tries its best to twist the minds but fails to do so. Hence, we get an equally morbid film which lies in the hands of Vinay and Lekha. Bhavana's appearance as a village belle is mystical. But, there are two scenes which kill the reality of this flout sibling drama. One is the accidental death while the other would be the climactic fight scene. Do men really have to fly away after being punched? I understand the one man army sentiment, but this film was riding high on emotionality, not action. Vivek's humor is quite obscene, although he has you in splits sometimes.
