This cop show would appear to have been written by someone who has not the least idea of how forensics, police procedure, or human nature actually work. They also cannot craft a credible plot or engaging characters. The police unit for which Irene Huss works is surely the most unrealistic I've ever seen. No one here seems to know how to do anything useful; they're like refugees from a therapy session. Have any of these people had any sort of professional training? Apparently not. Irene herself takes incredibly stupid and dangerous risks, clearly just to create "suspense" when the story loses direction and begins to run out of steam. And then there is Irene. I'm not sure if it occurred in this episode or another, but in one of them her dog kills the neighbor's cat, and when Irene's snotty teenaged daughters complain about the neighbor yelling at them, Irene bangs on his door, uses her police status to intimidate him, and proceeds to rip him a new one. Not a shred of remorse for the dead cat. This was the moment when I decided Irene is not just a terrible cop and a rotten mom, but also a stupid, bullying jerk.More episodes? No thank you.
