This is an embarrassment to African American movies. It was on twice within 24 hours. I thought I fell asleep on something, so I watched it through the second time. It was just as ridiculous the second time as it was the first. Too much happened within a 2 year period. He was so in love, and the grieving period had to be very brief for the pregnancy. This was not real at all. Living under the same roof was plain "nasty" of both women. I loved Cherie in the sitcom "Family Matters," but I've lost all respect for her after seeing this. I can't find enough adjectives to describe how degrading I think this movie was : Ludicrous, ridiculous, ignorant, ghetto, racist etc. I lived during a time when there were no black faces on the TV. This set us back to Pre- Civil Rights period.

I just watched this movie on BET. I was disgusted throughout and had to turn it off when the characters, Vivian and Marcus, start professing their love for each other at the hospital bedside of his critically ill wife, Jenny, WHO JUST GAVE BIRTH TO MARCUS'S CHILD. I was disgusted, shocked and appalled. I don't understand why the writers, Cherie Johnson and Charisse Edey, thought that this was the best resolution for the circumstances in the movie. It's as if they have some warped sense of justice. Furthermore, if the writers wanted Vivian and Marcus to reunite, they should have made the Vivian character more appealing to the audience. Instead, she spends most of the movie sleeping with Marcus and mentally and physically terrorizing Jenny (who is pregnant) which ultimately caused the poor woman's demise. The Jenny character is an unwitting victim of Marcus's infidelity and Vivian's vindictive and childish behavior. There are so many great writers who can't even get their stories produced because they lack the right contacts. I don't even know why or how this movie received the funding (though apparently minimal based on the poor quality of the production) and the "okay" to be made and ultimately televised to apparently disgust the viewers. BET! Can you hear me?! Evolve! Grow! Be More Selective! You can do it. I know you can.

On the day of their wedding, MARCUS AND VIVIAN have an automobile accident. VIVIAN ends up in a coma. After a year, the doctor tells Marcus it is hopeless. Marcus leaves the hospital thinking his wife is being taken off life support. He does not wait for her to die.In less than a year, he has a pregnant wife --- DUE ANY DAY! No time was wasted nor was there a funeral for the first wife.Marcus learns his first wife is alive; HE IS STILL MARRIED. So, he brings her to his home and she lives with him and his second wife-- because she has no where to go and no money. Note: when Marcus goes to the hospital to pick up this wife -- she is dressed in her wedding dress which is covered in blood. I wonder if that was supposed to be funny. What man would leave a hospital before the wife who is supposedly dying -- dies? Why no funeral? He thought she was dead? UNBELIEVABLE!!! The second wife stresses out and goes into labor. She gives birth to a baby girl and now the second wife IS IN A COMA. While her bedside, Marcus tells her he loves her. But, he is in love with the first wife! WHO DOES THAT? The second wife hears this confession while standing outside of the hospital room. She walks in the room and tells him she is there for him. The two of them WHILE STANDING on the side of the second wife's bed -- express their love and support for each other. SHOCKING!!! The first wife goes back to him and they have children. What woman would take back a man who left her in a hospital while in a coma to die AND no funeral?????? Who does that?! What was the writer thinking? I saw no humor in this movie -- zip. This movie is one of the worst I have seen -- I will never-ever watch this movie again. I cannot believe I DID.

I really can't believe I watched that! The previews were misleading, making you think that it was some light hearted comedy, but the previews were the best that it gets. I did not see it as a comedy as they claimed. The ending was terrible too! Clever title though, I see why they called it what they did. That was the only good part of it.There was so many ethical things wrong with this story. The story should not have allowed the two people to sleep together, it was "happily ever after" for the two who ended up together, even though he was basically cheating on his current wife. Why couldn't the writers make him man up to his current wife before he got back together with his first coma wife. And it wasn't coma wife's fault that the woman fainted after giving her soda and over-salting the pregnant wife's food? Is that supposed to be funny? Is that some light hearted joke? I don't think so! Lame!
