I was really hoping for something that gave more insight to the madness of a serial killer with this one. The unfortunately high expectations I'd held for this film fell completely flat once the runtime had passed 40 minutes out of a total of 55 and the main character (whom for the most part is the only character at all) had simply spoke frankly on his beliefs on society, humanity and anonymity for the purpose of killing people. Other than two scenes of the protagonist acting strangely with barbie dolls (which are never explained, even subtly as far as I could tell) there are only scene after scene, in different locations, of Charles Lake (the protagonist) talking and coming to apparent revelations. For those of you coming to see something that continues the style of documentary/slasher in a raw August Underground-esque feel, look elsewhere because there are only two scenes where he has ACTUALLY killed someone; both happen off-screen and you only see one of em at all. Even though I get that the writer was trying to really push that ANYONE who you've ever met could be a killer, I felt that it just didn't really go anywhere. All my bitchin aside, the acting of Mike Nall was very believable and since many of the scenes were ad libbed hats off to him for making the movie watchable whatsoever. Also the soundtrack was, at times, sublime.overall 5/10
