Not even remotely close to the books! Was highly disappointed by this adaptation. None of the characters are really what they were in the books well maybe expcept for Blair. Lilly and Rufus are not married and their kids are not close like this at all. Dan had a thing with Serena but he doesn't love Serena he loves Vanessa! And Nate loves Serena and Blair! They got a few things right but still a lot completely wrong. Chuck is bi/gay and has a pet monkey. He never falls for Blair and his parents aren't dead. The first 2 seasons where okay the rest were just made up. *Rant over* These books where everything to me when I was going through my teens. Just sad that they made up most of this series. When they had more than enough material to use from the books. After all there are 13 of them! I know this is 8 years too late but I just couldn't bring myself to watch the rest series after the first season until now.

The best show to ever air on TV!! The drama, the acting, the extravagant-ness, the settings, the clothes, and THE BLING are all iconic!!!!

I knew about "Gossip girl" for half my life when I decided to give it a try in 2018. I can not believe that this plot ever made it to a show, not to mention it got this good a rating. I believe the only reason for that is that no one who rated it 10/10 watched this thing episode after episode, instead one episode a week. In any case, this series is a tastless and hideous joke. No story, no intention, no depth... this show is the worst and poorly written piece of junk I have ever read, seen and thought about. A total waste of time and intellect. This show is an insult to humanity. If there would be a 0 star rating it would get nothing but disgust.

I really liked the show, even though it is a typical teenage-girl kinda show which i'm normally pretty critical about. I am now halfway watching it for the third time and i'm still not bored. I think the casting was perfect, and i will always remember Blake lively and Leighton Meester as Serena and Blair (I love them, they're also great actresses in other movies, i know!). Even though the most of the viewers probably cant relate to the high- class upper east side life, it's wonderful to just escape in this world that stand so far away from your own. I still cant imagine people living like this. I know, the show isn't perfect and after a while a little predictable at some times (some times it is even really really surprising) and some might find it a bit lengthy, but i really would recommend it to everyone (or at least every girl)
