I just found this on Netflix, and so my brother and I watched it. We didn't regret it. Kel Mitchell played his character very well, and I always loved "I'm a dude, he's a dude..." and "Welcome to Good Burger, home of the..." and Kenan Thompson did good with Dexter, he actually did look like a high-schooler back then. The story wasn't rushed at all, it played out well. The characters were spot on. The humor was too hard to resist, it was so good! I found myself laughing at the jokes. This movie is just too good to say no to, it's that awesome. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie. It's on Netflix, so if you've finished catching up with Stranger Things, go watch this. You won't regret a thing!

This 1997 comedy stars Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson. Thompson (SNL) plays Dexter, a teen who is ready for Summer vacation. His plans drastically change, when he crosses paths with dim-witted teen, Ed (Mitchell). Ed works at local fast food joint, "Good Burger" and helps Dexter get a job working there after causing Dexter's car accident. They eventually become friends and learn that new competitor across the street, "Mondo Burger" is using illegal, growth substances in their meat to boom business. Ed and Dexter try to stop it and save their establishment from going out of business. Sinbad, Abe Vigoda, Shaquille O'Neal, George Clinton and Carmen Electra also appear. This isn't a bad film with some funny and corny moments I recommend.

This review is ONLY intended for adults. My low score for this film is based on MY viewing and reflects how adults would enjoy the film. My daughter also saw it and liked it (mildly)--and she was clearly in the target audience. I wish I could give it a 3/6 reflecting BOTH scores. As an adult, Kenan and Kel's Good Burger skits on Nickelodeon never interested me and I always thought it was pretty dumb. Again, however, it WAS intended for kids! As for the film, it's a bit better than the TV show "Kenan and Kel" but this isn't saying a lot for older audiences. I can say, however, that it was nice to see Abe Vigoda--a veteran actor who practically everyone thinks is dead. He's about to turn 93 and although he might have looked dead since the 1970s, he's not! But talk about surreal seeing him with these two young actors! So, if you are forced to watch it with the kids, you'll have a few laughs, enjoy seeing Vigoda and it's relatively brainless but harmless fun.

Let's make 1 thing clear, I loved this movie when i was younger. Yes throw tomatoes at me if you please. It did not withstand the test of time, but some of the humor is still there I admit.Pros:a little humor and WHOA Abe Vigota! Why is an actor like Abe Vigoda here? Well anyway. Cons:Awful characters(besides Abe Vigoda), not much humor at all, convoluted storyline, pointless scenes(dance scene in mental hospital), and what kind of villain is that? A restaurant owner who puts POISIN IN BURGERS! Jeez he's crazy, maybe he should be dancing in the mental hospital? If you want to see a horrible movie then be my guest, I don't like it maybe you will and that's all 4/10.
