It isn't Sci-Fi at all. There's plenty of talk of aliens, and it has a fun creepy feel to it, but this film is about mental illness, delusion, and personal growth. By halfway through you should be seriously doubting whether the whole thing is her delusion, and by the end there should be little doubt in your mind that it is, even without the final scene where she decides to leave her delusion behind. There's definitely a low-budget feel to it, and the acting is hit-and-miss (i thought there were some nice moments), but overall this is a great film. Oh and it's worth mentioning that this is one of the few films available that not only has a female lead, but most of the supporting roles are female too - refreshing.

This could contain a spoiler. But I don't see how I could spoil this for anyone. Looking at this movie trying to figure out what the audience is and I believe it is "preteens" and girls at that who are trying to FIND their place in the world. From that perspective it might be a higher rated movie. The acting is okay for a bunch of rugrat but the story line was terrible. Apparently they did not have a huge budget, and the storyline around "The Thing or The game" until they kinda told you what "The Thing" could do was just terrible. And they never show "The Thing" to you so it made it just a tease. Thumbs up the the Faron actress for trying to keep this thing together.

Of my friends who saw this movie, the range of acceptance was all over the scale; a true "love/OK/hate" movie. I loved it because it was very well filmed and edited, a film that has potential as a true "film class" staple in colleges worldwide. Others found it slow and boring. Here is a film that all future directors must see, but not all casual movie viewers will enjoy it. It had a classic 1940-1950's style suspense on the lines of Hitchcock classics and "Casablanca" and "The Maltese Falcon", not the modern aphoristic process, no business as usual here!!! It was also awash in young actors, which can deceive some people into thinking it is a child's movie, but it is not, it is suitable and I say designed for the mature film buff. A very good job on a very low budget, a great work.

Not sure how this movie is at a 7.5/10 at the moment. My guess is all 11 voters have worked on the project. And the first person to comment on this movie is talking about a Horror movie. Well, there is nothing horror about it - besides the camera work and acting that is.It's basically a Thriller, with some small sci-fi elements (in the story, not special effects). The beginning is fine, and opens a lot of possibilities for a good movie, but it never gets better, only worse.Avoid this movie when you can.
