Feed is close to, if not one of the best movies of our generation. The plot is exciting, suspenseful, and unmatched in other films. Feed shows a story of true love with fantastic camera work and acting that can only be described as first class. Alex O'Loughlin is a incredible actor in a this motion picture, how he hasn't won more awards is beyond me. 2005 should be remembered as the year of "Feed" and how a movie that got so much attention as grotesque as it was turned out magnificent . Feed will be forever be remembered as a film that broke all the rules, but by doing so created one of the best films ever made. A truly magnificent movie, one that should be watched throughout the ages.

Brett Leonard addresses the issue of feederism in this tense disturbing thriller where Michael Carter (Alex O'Loughlin) finds sexual satisfaction in overfeeding women. However, cybercrime investigator Phillip Jackson (Patrick Thompson) suspects that Carter feeds them to death. While he investigates, he uncovers disturbing facts and is confronted with his own demon. With the exception of a few plot holes, 'Feed' is very well-written. The research is exceptionally well done. It provides frightening insight into the world of feeders. In addition, to feederism, the writers tackle issues such as child abuse, incest, sadism and masochism. The acting is very good. O'Loughlin and Thompson are excellent. The tension that is built in their scenes when Carter and Jackson meet face to face is intense and chilling. Brett Leonard's direction is quite weak. At times, there's a B movie feel. Some scenes appear sloppily shot. If it weren't for the interesting theme, strong acting and writing, this could have ended up messy. As disturbing as this film is to watch, it's dark, insightful and loaded with suspense.

In the last few years, Alex O'Loughlin has been all over TV in the USA, however FEED was his "Good Will Hunting". O'Loughlin helped write/create and star in this film, which I don't mind saying, caught me totally off guard. Bored and surfing Netflix one day, I happened upon this, clicked Play and spent the next few hours watching some of the strangest things I've ever seen in a movie. Of course FEED isn't studio-budget quality but then again, it wasn't a studio film. I thought the actors did great in their roles and even though I know nothing about the Feeder/Gainer lifestyle, I found them to be believable. If you can stand watching a man eat his own body parts and if you like weird, FEED is worth a watch.

Thanks to the incomparable EVOL666 for turning me on to this movie. An Australian vice cop specializing in internet crime seems to have spent one too many days wallowing in the filth of other people's sexual perversions, most recently cracking a case of consensual sexual- cannibalism. As his private life spirals into a meltdown, he becomes suspicious of a fetish site promoting the overfeeding of morbidly obese women. Fearing that he's witnessing the work of serial killer intent on feeding his victims to death, he follows the investigation to Ohio and discovers that the situation is far more dangerous than he'd anticipated. The film is solidly structured and well paced, and starts out asking some interesting questions about the nature of love and attraction and exactly what constitutes normal, unusual, and illegal, in consenting relationships. The opening scenes establish a nice contrast between the casual violence of the 'normal' couple and the loving gentleness of the 'abnormal' feederist and cannibal relationships. Unfortunately, these issues get lost along the way as the movie morphs into a straight thriller, albeit one with a pretty unusual central premise and some startling imagery. The middle act gets bogged down in some mildly tedious running around doing nothing in particular, but once everyone gets to the country house for the finale, things move at a thrilling breakneck pace. The final scene can be ignored for the cheap twist that it is. Excellent performances and a daring and provocative story make this one a solid recommendation, it's just a shame that the filmmakers backed away from producing something truly dark and thought provoking
