When the picture falls off the nightstand in Gail's room on the first night, you can clearly see a stagehand's arm in the lower right corner of the screen. When the covers are pulled of Gail, her shirt goes from a pale pink to a white floral short-sleeved Henley with no explanation. There is no way that the house is "100 years old." The floor plan, building materials and the fact that the house has a garage are all indicative of the 60s or 70s.Why would the demon/devil manifest in the television? Especially when Gail is asleep and oblivious to its presence? If the writers had studied possession lore, they would know that only very devout, practicing Christians (usually Catholics) become possessed. In truth, possession is not real, does not happen, and can simply be attributed to cases of dementia and/or mental illness (particularly schizophrenia and religious delusions).Stigmata on a possessed person? Are you kidding me?!So, I guess all women sleep in white pajamas with blue flowers? Both Gail and her sister do.Boobs, three sets of them. A decent, yet interrupted, sex scene.Motrin IB product placement. How exactly did Gail lie down and wrap herself up in her coverlet in half a second then levitate? Word to the wise: ALWAYS leave an impaled object in until you reach the emergency room or receive other qualified medical attention. The object may be the only thing preventing you from bleeding to death. There are some scary moments, but they are mostly cheap, predictable scares using quick flashes of action and/or creepy/loud noises. The blind priest needs to have a few more lessons on how to act more convincingly blind. The way he felt his way around the bed was very "sighted" in its execution. The wall-walking scene was pretty neat, I have to admit. I loved the priest-on-priest murder scene, too. That was unexpected. It kept getting better and better toward the end with chaos, murder, and mayhem and I was loving it! Then, it ended. Roll credits. Lame.

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I bought it based on the various reviews here on IMDb stating "its not that bad". Ladies and Gentlemen, I am here to tell you, yes it IS that bad.The script is poorly and childishly written. Most of the movie is shot in the interior of a house and a garage (yes that's right, a garage!). One reviewer says that the language isn't as bad as a few dramas they have watched (uhm, what dramas have a woman screaming about A---l S-x?). The acting ranges from poor to downright laughable.Yes, I get the point. This movie is supposed to be a B movie or even a C movie. The writer/director is well known for his collection of bad movies (notice how nearly ALL of them barely have more than 1 or 2 stars). Sure its supposed to be bad, silly with a bit of nudity thrown in.The problem is that nobody even tried to make it work. The special effects and the "scares" are halfway decent but in the end it seems like this direct to DVD film was meant to tantalize the viewer with an exciting box cover and then rip them off.

I can't believe people did not like this movie. It had its share of scary moments, above average acting, and the story line flowed pretty well. 4.0 at its current rating on IMDb as I'm writing this comment, is much too low for this movie, and I would encourage anyone that has not seen this movie to check it out. Oh and did I mention the girls in this flick are totally hot. Please don't be fooled by these people that are more or less dissing this movie. I know a few people that enjoyed this much more then The Exorcism of Emily Rose (which is another way underrated horror/Drama movie) I found this movie at my local Hollywood Video store, and hopefully you won't have too much trouble finding it. With so many horrible b rated movies out there crowding the video shelf, you won't be to disappointed by picking this one up.

After psychiatrists fail to offer any real solution for what is causing Gail's problems (one even recommends calling the priests), the family is forced to turn to the church and an exorcism is quickly ordered. With few priest having any real experience in dealing with the possessed, the church turns to Father Thomas – a priest who we meet early in the film when an exorcism goes very bad leaving him blind. Shouting every prayer known to man, Father Thomas and two other priests confront the demons inside Gail and a major battle between good and evil takes up the rest of the film.Although the movie's plot has been done before (lets face it, nothing is ever going to live up to The Exorcist), Scott's own love for the horror genre makes this movie just fun. He has mastered what it takes to make a good horror film on a tight budget and shows his own knowledge of horror in this movie. The movie has touches of The Entity (such as when Gail is being visited at night); Stigmata (when Gail forms a cross and starts bleeding from her hands and feet); White Noise (when Gail sees ghostly images in the television) and naturally The Exorcist. Scott also has the movie go "low tech" with practically no computer generated effects (like what was used in King of the Lost World) or actors running around in creature suits (like Beast of Bray Road or Frankenstein Reborn). Instead, the film has quick edits of things jumping out at you, something quickly walking by the camera, and some great facial expressions from Roby – when that girl screams it is down right creepy.
