This film is a pleasant watch at least for fans of long Bollywood romances. Directed by Yash Chopra, its basically a long love triangle between Shahrukh, Karishma and Madhuri, with a brief cameo appearance by Akshay Kumar. The songs make the movie. They are melodious and well choreographed, specially the competition between Karishma and Madhuri. The main drawback - an overlong plot and sluggish pace in the second half. The film wants to be a feel-good romance complete with flowers and chocolates but it outstays its welcome by at least half an hour. Watchable on DVD/television.Overall 6/10
... View MoreThis movie in my opinion was waste of time. The movie was too confusing and too hard and confusing. It has no romance. It was supposed to be a love triangle but it is not.The theme means there is some one for every one which is too un real and fake.Yash gives a terrible recipe for delight.Everthy thing is bad.The movie could have been fine if it not for the amateurish dialogs, screenplay and dialogs.Screenplay is confusing and is dull.Direction is mediocre.Dialogs are dull and tacky.Editiong is okay.Sound is goodReally the movie was not an absolute waste of time.It is watchable for Karishmas act.She dominates the movie from start to end(sorry Shah Rukh ).She is a complete scene stealer with a well deserved national award. She is pretty annoying at times.I could relate to her character in her skits. She is one great actress that should really come back and mainly should teacher her sister how to act.Shah Rukh Khan is amateurish. It is shocking to see that a man which gave one of the better performances that year with Pardes comes back with this trash.Madhuri looks stunning and thats it.But she does look great playing a show piece.Akshay barely has a role but still acts well and leaves a mark.Farida Jalal and Aruna Irani barely have a roleSongs are good. The filming is good.Technically the movie is superb.Camera work is flawless.Sets are looking stylish as ever and so are the locationsThis is watchable just for Karishma and the songs

View MoreDil to pagal hai is a Yash Chopra Musical and one of the best romantic films so far.I has Shahrukh Khan(Rahul),Madhuri Dixit(Pooja) and Karishma Kapoor(Nisha) as the leading stars.Shahrukh Khan(Rahul),is a super cool dude who, along with is group is into directing stage plays and dance performances,he does not understand how someone can spend their entire life with only one person. He is in search of "Maya"."Maya" according to him is someone who is very beautiful and anybody can fall in love with her anytime. She is someone who performs for the supreme master and works towards self actualization.Karishma Kapoor(Nisha) who is a member of shahrukh's group in love with him.Shahrukh does not know it and considers her only a good and a close friend.Madhuri Madhuri Dixit(Pooja) believes in love hopes that she is going to find the man of her dreams one day.One day Shahrukh Khan(Rahul)discovers "Maya" in Madhuri Dixit(Pooja) and slowly they fall in love with each other. The problem arises when Akshay Kumar(Ajay) a good friend of Madhuri Dixit(Pooja),falls in love with her and wants to marry her.She cannot refuse him as she feels indebted to Akshay Kumar's parents who raised her.It now up to her to make a decision.Overall great movie with awesome music, the best ever I have heard!.No matter how many times I listen to the soundtrack I do not get bored.Mr. Yash Chopra has great musical senses and is undoubtedly, the king of romance.
... View MoreA great film! I can't get enough of it. I watch it over and over and over again and again. The songs are great! Shahrukh Khan is really marvelous as Rahul. I love watching Rahul fall helplessly in love with Pooja. Madhuri Dixit is perfect as Pooja. How can Rahul not fall in love with her? I had only watched three or four Bollywood films prior to this one but after seeing Dil To Pagal Hai my motto is Bollywood or nothing! Dear God in heaven, if you haven't seen this film you haven't seen a great love story. Rahul is a play writer and director who doesn't really believe in love or marriage. Nisha is his lead actress/dancer. The two of them have a comfortable relationship. Nisha, who is in love with Rahul, injures her ankle just weeks before the opening of Rahul's new show. Rahul finds Pooja by chance (or destiny) and quickly hires her. Just as Rahul realizes he has fallen in love with Pooja he finds out she already engaged... A great love triangle.
