What surprised me was why would the likes of Gregory Harrison consent to do this trivial film in the first place? He's much to good as an actor. And such a handsome one at that. Remember him in "For Ladies Only" as the male stripper would-be actor? Excellent stuff and much more worthy of his presence. And his Broadway stint in "Steel Pier", the musical several years back. To see him in this, I guess made before the musical, was uncool. Playing a would be assassin who gets caught by a bimbo. That's what I thought of Alexandra Powers' work as the long suffering Jo. First of all, her voice was obnoxious and her acting came in at a close second. Where do they find these actresses? Did she audition for the part? How could anyone see any potential in her? This surprises me. In this movie I wanted Harrison to win. Written and Directed by Sandor Stern, who must have been blind when he cast this movie. Then suddenly we see Robert Prosky in a small role as the dame's papa who seems uncomfortable in doing the role and the movie. I know Bob's work and he's so much better than this. Is it a matter of the bucks? The work? You know, keep working, no matter what? How sad that such talented people are subjected to such trite productions. Please, can we get these so-so actresses off the screen? Scott Valentine turned in a decent performance as the friend of the dame's husband, a cop. Mr. Harrison, you're too good for this kind of film. There's so much more out there. Have you thought of coming back to Broadway? You'd be welcome. What about Billy Flynn in "Chicago"? Certainly you'd do better than George Hamilton. And Bob, come back to Broadway. We miss you.

Streetwolf

21 year old Jo decides to get away from her alcoholic father and moves to New York to live with her best friend Penny. They work at a strip bar. One night a good looking stranger named John, who has his briefcase handcuffed to his wrist pays Jo to have sex with him and she agrees. After it happens she feels guilty for doing that and leaves. The very next day an Archbishop gets assassinated outside of the hotel where Jo had spent the night with John. She immediately remembers that he had a gun with him and she tells Penny, and they both decide to run away. We then fast forward 3 years where Jo, who has changed her appearance now married to a police officer named Frank, but she is still re living what took place 3 years ago. On her way to work she spots "John", who notices her, but he doesn't seem to remember her. She follows him and sees that he has an office in the same building where she works, but his appearance is a little different so she asks Penny to recognize him since she has a better memory, but at the same time he spots the two young ladies talking and he recognizes Penny. That same night he kills Penny making it look like a car accident. Jo talks to Frank's best friend Pete, who is a cop also. She figures "John" who has changed his name to Phillip Kirby now is here in Oregon to assassinate some South American politician. Now the assassin is after her, as she tries to hide the truth from her husband, who she thinks will leave her if he finds out that she took money to have sex a hundred years ago. The story was great I must admit and even though Gregory Harrison didn't have a big part he still looked great and the assassin act he did was great. Scott Valentine played Pete and again even though his part wasn't that big he was good.
