Creep 2 Trailers

After finding an ad online for “video work,” Sara, a video artist whose primary focus is creating intimacy with lonely men, thinks she may have found the subject of her dreams. She drives to a remote house in the forest and meets a man claiming to be a serial killer. Unable to resist the chance to create a truly shocking piece of art, she agrees to spend the day with him. However, as the day goes on, she discovers she may have dug herself into a hole from which she can’t escape.

The eponymous character, Joseph is so enthusiastic and exuberant that it's entirely possible to believe that he genuinely thinks he's doing something positive. "Maybe we're all a bit weirder than we give ourselves credit for." Encounters voice over woman.

Not much else to say, this movie is worse in almost every single way than the original. A focus on making it "funnier" and expanding on the story only opens a million ways to question the believably of the characters. I was pulled out of the film repeatedly by any character that isn't "Aaron".

But, effective, nonetheless.I did like the first one and gave it the same rating as this one, and given the chance, I'd recommend both, back to back - even though it's been nearly 10 months since I saw the original. Of course, you'll have to, then, put up with 3 hours of a found-footage-type narrative. I will give it a pass here. The first movie shows just an example of this Creep and what made this sequel special was the more information provided on the Creep's life story. Again, I awarded both the same rating, but this is definitely the better chapter of the two.Creep puts out an ad for $1,000 in exchange of shooting a documentary of his during one 24-hour period. Desperate for clicks Youtuber Sara signs right up claiming not to be scared...and unbelievably, she rarely is. You know, being scared is NOT a bad thing, quite the opposite.Nonetheless, they meet, sorta flirt and he gets down to business advising the disbelieving Sara of all his murders and what plans he has for the night. It would be even shorter than the already short 78 minute runtime if she believed Creep for a moment, but, alas, she plays along and lets him have fun.Normally, I put my recommendation here, but already communicated that. So, yeah, watch both back-to-back and see if he creeps you out more than me. (I will say, though, the last moments were, in fact, pretty...effective. No, I'm not committing to the title.)***Final thoughts: I freaking hate CGI blood. Actually, not a fan of at least 50% of the CGI out there, but the blood is the absolute worst. It's so fake and corny, it completely takes me out of the movie. Why did I bring that up? It happens here in the cold open and if I hadn't heard good things about this, I might not have continued past that. C'mon guys, you're better than fake CGI splatter. That's just lazy and beneath ANY filmmaker.
