Can't understand all these rave reviews. This was as bad as a movie gets - bad acting, stupid story, badly scripted, made no sense. It's like the writer had no understanding of biology at all.It sounded like such a good twist on the Frankenstein story that I felt I had to watch it. I think I could have written a better story. At least one that made some sense.I guess I've said enough. Big waste of time. Must be getting great reviews from the cast.It started out bad and never got better, just worse.Since I put in a spoiler alert, I'll give a brief synopsis. Lady scientist wants to reanimate life, buys a warehouse and while working at a morgue brings home dead bodies. Finally makes a man. Teaches him to eat, talk, play piano, dance and make love to her.Suddenly, for some reason, it turns out he can only eat live meat, so she starts feeding him live rats, then people she kills. Very gory and bloody in parts. I won't go any further. Very stupid ending. Not scary, just a total gore fest if you like that sort of thing.

Corpsing is sort of a re-telling of Frankenstein, but with the genders reversed. The doctor falls in love with her monster. This isn't so much a horror film, as a dark and twisted love story. (Aren't those the best kind?) The aspect of the film I enjoyed most is the acting. The actors involved do a damn solid job of portraying flawed and interesting characters. The lead, Joanna Lowe, especially does a great job as the doctor. She's raw and exposed as someone deterring on the brink of insanity. Unlike the original Frankenstein where the doctor hates his creation, this doctor falls in love with hers. Initially it starts out as almost a master/pet type relationship, but grows into something far more insidious. Jeff Monahan does a great job as both Peter and Thomas. I actually didn't realize one actor was playing two separate characters until well into the film. That's a testament to the quality of the make up and the performances. The movie has with some minor audio issues, but that doesn't take away from the overall quality. Corpsing is a very solidly made movie and manages to create a very interesting and unique retelling of the Frankenstein story. It's a classic tale updated and with a twist.I also want to make note that the wardrobe was fantastic. James Reinhardt did a fantastic job and his efforts should be applauded. Enclosing, Corpsing is a fun and entertaining love story with a dark and sinister twist.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I love a good horror, and this was a good horror. By this I mean that there was a lot of blood and gore, the acting was believable, and there was a story. I have noticed that I lot of horror movies tend to forget the part where they need to keep up a plot for more than ten minutes. This movie did a great job of telling a story while also providing mass amounts murder. I am also impressed with the quality of the film. With such a low budget the effects and make up was quite impressive. You really could not tell that the budget was so low. it stood up to much higher budget films, and I would say surpassed them. The reasons this only got 9 stars are as followed: While Shelly's Costume make up was incredible her make up in 'pretty' scenes was lacking. Especially the one where she was at the grave yard. She looked like a clown with big blue eye shadow and bright red lips. Did no one know how to put on eye shadow? really? The second thing was that the camera work, particularly in cars, got a bit shaky. This was probably due to the budget. The final thing is I personally would have liked to have seen a bit more comedy worked into the dialog. Particularly between Shelly and Peter. But that is a personal preference. Over all this was a great movie and I would definitely watch it again. If you get the chance to see this movie, make sure you watch till the very end. The last line is brilliant.

This movie has taken the Frankenstein legend and has provided it with a fresh twist to make it a truly unique film! It was awesome to see a horror movie involving reanimation, a disturbing love story that will give you the creeps and make you think...all while grossing you out at the same time. I also found it appropriate that the film was shot in Pittsburgh, Pa., where another film about the dead coming back to life was filmed, "Night of the Living Dead" and then the original "Dawn of the Dead". I found the performance from the three lead actors very enjoyable, the female lead, appropriately named "Shelly", was great to watch and I can't go into her performance too much without letting out some spoilers, so I won't. I highly recommend it!
