Coons! Night of the Bandits of the Night Trailers

The blood flows and the fur flies in Coons! Night of the Bandits of the Night from director Travis Irvine and Overbite Productions! In this hilarious horror spoof, a group of wild college kids arrive at Raccoon Creek Campgrounds with hopes for a summer full of good times, ample booze and hot pre-marital sex! But a pack of hungry raccoons, no longer content to scavenge through the garbage for their food, arrive to put a stop to the debauchery with their vicious dispositions and ravenous appetite for human flesh! As the bodies pile up, only two young lovers, with the help of a crusty hippie hermit and a bumbling park ranger, can stand up to the murderous masked menace and save the summer for drunken teenagers everywhere!

And if you like sophomoric and tasteless parodies as much as I do... then you will love this movie. The comedic timing is spot on, the majority of satire is stable, and some jokes are down right hilarious... the title is a laugh standing on its own! I can see how some people might not like the film, but they are people that you don't want to hang out with anyway. On the other hand, people who can have a good time and laugh with their friends will add their new, bi-monthly catch phrase "Sh*t Snakes" to their vernacular in no time. Coons is an amateur's armature: a low budget attempt at a feature length film, and I give the young filmmakers a lot of credit. We aren't talking Oscar winning here; we're talking about a well put together spoof on a horror film. This one kept me laughing throughout... do yourself the favor and get this one... you won't regret it. Chin chin!

I saw this movie at Ohio University. I couldn't believe how horrible it was. It was dreadful. Put it this way: it's no different than watching a bunch of high school boys get drunk and make fart jokes. Not funny, not scary, not good. Waste of time! Don't even bother with this mindless adolescent trash. If you really have a desire to watch high school students act like children, then just go to the mall. It's unbelievable that the producers of this movie didn't realize how horrible this is, unless they were children. This sets a poor example for young boys, and most importantly, it is a slap in the face to filmmakers who actually take their work seriously. For a better satire, go watch Monty Python, Mel Brooks, or David Zucker. "Coons" isn't satire, or parody. It's like being in the center of a really bad party. This is not a movie!

Loved every minute of this totally dumb movie!! Very much in the same vein as Reno911 !!....Loved the gay park ranger!! While the movie was a typical same budget, indie type film it should have a huge following amongst younger crowds of people! If you just want a laugh and are not looking for a deeper meaning to life, then this will satisfy! The premise is alittle hookie, but they film remains true to its basic storyline throughout! The actors were easy to understand and the emotions were hysterical! All filmmakers have to start somewhere and I think this should prove an excellent starting point for this young filmmaker! At least I hope so!Hope the same cast returns for the sequel!

This movie is one of those surefire flicks to strike the humor cord amongst the generation X crowd. Extremely well done for the budget it was given, the screenplay and directing I thought was well above average. A select few characters make the film, such as the "Shane" character, whom acts as a gay park ranger, steals the show. I thought some of the development of the characters could have been better, though the film did not lack substance and kept the viewer wondering what kind of crazy, wild antics would happen next. A perfect rent for those who crave the "Scary Movie" type of genre- I hope these guys get together again in the near future to follow up Coons!
