The film centers on a young couple in California. He writes "real" ghost stories from interviews, but needs to do a rewrite. She is a waitress who "can't buy a job" as an actress and during their first conversation, you will know why. He put in a bid on a secluded ranch which he got, and the next moment they are ready to occupy, driving off in the Bimmer with an air mattress. They take turns filming stuff along the way and thank goodness the producers had enough insight to also use the old fashion motion picture camera mounted on a tripod. Their journey was a waste of our time as it failed to build any character. You can fast forward through this aspect, get popcorn etc. It is sufficient to know they are both shallow airheads. You can fast forward until they get to the ranch. Really, you won't miss anything at all.The film moves fast when it should be slow and slow when it should be fast. If you read the Amazon review or the title, you know cold creepy feeling things happen in the house that require an exorcism. After the first night, they opt to call their psychic exorcist friend who can be there the next day. Instead of wasting all that film shooting California yucca plants, Kurlander should have build up the cold creepy feeling slowly. The time the couple spends on the Internet...way too long. Get yourself a real film editor. We know your Idiot-Savant group did the sound track from the credits, was the additional plug as part of the film necessary? Was that a trance or sleep walking Chloe was doing in her panties and boots? Did she sleep with those boots on? Looked a bit odd. Was that sunlight coming through the window in the night time bar scene or was the outdoor lighting nova bright?I have dated women who have acted more possessed than Lisa Younger (sorry Terry, I told.) I was most shocked by the fact these people had other acting credits to their name. The scary part of the movie didn't last long and there was no explanation as to what happened, just bad hints. Keith Kurlander used himself and his own family as the ghost family, perhaps the most scary convincing thing on screen for all of 10 seconds. Keith Kurlander wrote, directed, acted in, produced, edited, etc. etc. this film. If you see Keith, he now owes me $2.F-Bomb, sex, nudity (thank you Lisa Younger)
... View MoreTrust me it's good advice: Don't watch this film. I have to be completely honest and admit I turned it off after I think around 10 minutes into the film, but from the start it is obvious that it is terrible. The acting is terrible, the camera work is terrible, everything is really terrible. Even shots of the scenery were lame. What came to mind while watching it was this: 'Think about all the badly made films you have seen and then watch this to see what's good about them.' It really is worth watching the first five minutes though....... It is hilarious, though it has been some hours now that I saw it and at first I was just upset that it wasn't something (at least) watchable. And to be fair: Who knows after 10 minutes it all might have fallen right into place.
... View MoreI really am not sure where an appropriate place to start for this Title is. First of all, just to give a little perspective, I am a die-hard horror film fanatic. Perhaps its a natural inclination to the twisted and terrifying, or the elements of survival, or maybe the atmosphere. I have watched horror from every sub-genre, every decade, shot in every style, and from every country it seems like. In the last one/two year(s), I have watched 200+ horror films EASILY. Almost in every single case I have been able to find a redeeming quality or SOMETHING enjoyable about the film. Not with "cold creepy feeling". Don't get me wrong, it was terrifying. I was terrified that I might gouge out my eyes after watching an hour and a half of this piece of garbage. I am really not trying to be mean either, like I said, I am the most generous horror movie fan you will ever meet. The acting was terrible and forced. Especially from the lead actress, who was annoying and came off as fake and incompetent in her role. The script was cheesy and absolutely juvenile. The plot was old, tired, old, tired, old, and tired. The camera quality and filming was the worst I have ever seen in any movie, including any other indie film. And finally, the ending. I am not going to "give anything away" in the off chance that you make the horrible decision to waste your brain cells on this film that looks and feels like it was made by someone in prepubescence. However I will say is was the sour icing on this mud pie of a movie. It was rushed, didn't follow a logical train of thought, and was just plain awful.
... View MoreI got really exited when I seen this film especially with a 9.9 rating (being the highest I've ever seen on IMDb) so I put it on and oh my god I would not even give it a 1 out of 10, I turned it off after 5 minutes probably not even that the acting was dreadful and it looked like it had bed shoot by a kid with a home video camera! sorry for being so blunt it just I was really looking forward to watching a good horror and I really thought it would be with it hight rating and instead I got this rubbish I was very disappointed :( I really would not wast your money or Your time on this movie if you can even call it that!
