Well, there is much of glamor in the film through the pose costumes, locations, and the main characters representing the current trend and fashion which may attract the youngsters; but in terms of storyline and script the film falls short for its often predictability and lack of much of the twists and turns. The film feels a bit of a blank canvass owing to its emptiness in the plot which feels a very routine love triangle. The nice music and songs, cinematography, and face values of the protagonists help to hold you for a while despite a very weak and plain storyline lacking a good direction. Perhaps, it won't be a film that you would want to watch again or would stay long in your mind; but may interest you a while for its nice production values and music.Rating: 1 star out of 4

First half of 'Cocktail' : Super fun, 2 Best friends (Deepika and Diana) and a guy (Saif) have fun, joke, do silly stuff, make the audience laugh. Concept looks fresh, Deepika are Saif like each other, live in together, sleep with each other, have fun, neither is interested in a commitment. I thought I could watch this movie over and over again.Second half : Hopeless, very typical Bollywood Love Triangle. The guy falls for the 'Desi' girl. why?? This could have been a cult movie, with such good looking people who suited their characters so well. The music was fantastic.Performances : All 3 (Deepika, Saif and Diana) have acted well. Saif was extremely funny at times and no one could have pulled off the character of Veronica as well as Deepika did.I would have loved the movie if Saif would have fallen for the Deepika (the girl who parties and drink and has fun).Bollywood is yet to get over the good/Desi girl and bad girl concept.Its definitely a one time watch.

I saw this movie months ago n i just loved it, 1st of all i felt in love with Diana Penty, she is just just gorgeous, her dance in Tum Hi Ho Bhandu will be remembrance n her performance was way too good as a débutante n she really deserve an best débutante award of the year. Deepika was drop dead hot beautiful, i just loved her character Veronica, she has done a fantabulous job once again n had proved that she can act despite her criticism for her earlier movies, her intro was BIG WOW, Saif in this movie was a full on comic, his sense of humor was top notch but sometime i felt it was over a top, and he seems to old to be cast in this movie but still i enjoy his every scene. The actors,costume designer,music directer, cinematography deserve a standing ovation, they have done a wonderful job, Homi Adajani has become my top 10 director on my list. THANX FOR A GOOD FILM

Cocktail was among those movies for which I was waiting for a long time.But it proved to be nothing except a disappointment.The only good thing about the movie was the music,songs,and the stars,specially Deepika and Diana.Diana,as far as I know needs to polish up her acting skills otherwise she is good on screen.The story line could have been much better.Is a one time watch but not up to the mark of their previous film,Love Aaj Kal.First half was interesting but it was the second half that spoiled the movie.I don't want to call it a bad film because there are movies that one can't tolerate.It's not a great film. The team could have made it better than what it is.Overall,interesting and entertaining to watch.
