Now listen i have never seen the original Christmas in Connecticut from 1945 i only seen this version cause it's directed by Arnold "Freaking" Schwarzenegger and for the most part i enjoyed it a lot first of all Dyan Cannon and Kris Kristofferson have a great chemistry together and their both energetic and funny and the same goes for Tony Curtis in fact 2 years later Arnold was meant to work with his daughter in James Cameron's underrated action comedy True Lies (1994) also Arnold Schwarzenegger himself has a cameo about one hour and sixteen minutes into the movie, Schwarzenegger is shown outside sitting at a table and speaking into a cell phone in front of the network's satellite uplink truck and there's even a Terminator reference where one of the characters says "I'll Be Back" plus Peter Kent Arnie's long time friend and stunt double has a cameo as a Cop and Wendle Josepher plays A.D. one of the crew members and she also appears in Last Action Hero (1993) as Candy Girl. I wish it was a bit more funny at times and there's a very dumb scene where a gun shot can be heard and for some stupid reason Cannon covers her eyes instead of her ears? That was a bit stupid but if you want to see a fun and romantic comedy with a pretty good and talented cast and a very talented actor behind the camera you might actually have fun with it but if you want to see a better Directed Schwarzenegger work go and check out his Tales from the Crypt Episode. (8/10)

OK, My second favorite Christmas movie...my 1st being the Orig With Barbara Stanwick. But this re-make is nicely done. The Marta Stewart-esquire Character is perfectly lame in the kitchen and her assistant does all the actual cooking. The Chemistry between Cannon and Kristofferson is nice andTony Curtis is hilarious as the producer/pseudo-husband who is worried about ratings and network politics; the side stories are light and provide comic relief every few scenes. This truly wonderful, heartwarming and funny movie is sure to become one of your holiday favorites too.

I've got this movie for my birthday, but I certainly wouldn't have bought it. It's unbelievable how a remake can be this awful. I'm not saying that Arnold Schwarzenegger is a bad director, but I think somebody else would have made a better movie out of it. The jokes are stupid, the acting is extremely bad, the story seems to go nowhere. It's a shame to waste the talent of these actors. I've only seen it once, and after that one time, I had enough of it. So, I'll give it a 1/5.

The TV version isnt great but it isnt that terrible, i mean its a cute little movie that pokes fun at overdone TV characters and yes at times it gets a little crazy. Watch it and then decide. The original is good yes but its old. This one makes more sense.
