This is a short film whose title and detail maybe suggests something more than the simple relationship comedy of awkwardness and charm that it really is. The plot sees a man (Sid) who struggles with a form of cataplexy (sudden and temporary paralysis) who orders a call girl to his home. When she arrives it turns out that this is Sally, and that they know each other from years ago. Of course with that personal history, the professional relationship of the moment is a lot harder, and they agree that she will call the office and get another girl out. While they wait for this, they catch up on the old times and times since. In and of itself this is a narrative of fantasy that does really need you to go with it. As you might expect, the two old friends do enjoy each others' brief company despite the initial awkwardness of the situation, and it did have the potential to be sappy in many ways. Instead the film has a lovely sense of natural awkwardness to it, and this makes it more charming than it would otherwise have been. Noh and Tenenbaum are a big part of this, and both come over pretty cute and sweet (again an aspect the film needs you to go with considering the nature of their reunion. The near-montage approach works well, with the characters relaxing and enjoying in steps in front of the viewer. The conclusion might be seen coming by some, but for me it was sudden, funny, and quite sweet in the few seconds afterwards (as it sank in beyond the immediate moment).
