A guy finds a finger in his kitchen Starring Colin Hanks, Fran Kranz and Rachel Blanchard Written by Eric Laster Directed by Peter Spears I think this is only the second movie I have ever watched on you tube. This isn't the best move ever made but it's silly and quirky and offbeat and it genuinely made me laugh in a few places. Even though it is a low budget film and there are no famous movie stars in it, I enjoyed it. It's well written, even if it is pretty stupid in parts.I thought the main character reminded me of Tom Hanks but I only found out at the end that it was his son.Crazy. Silly. Daft.7.5/10
... View MoreI guess if you are a slacker and vacuous dolt with a double-digit IQ this movie would be of interest to you.Careless goes far beyond being a stupid film about stupid people and only an out-and-out miracle will keep you watching until it's finished. Roll your eyes, cross your eyes, stare at the ceiling and keep prodding yourself to stay awake, you're a loser, you can do it! Talk about the movie? I really don't want to. It's stupid end to end. The characters are typical fornicating dropout laggards with dead-end lifestyles who were probably raised on hot dogs and processed cheese. Must I say more? I don't know, maybe deprived of oxygen at birth, retardation, genetic throwbacks, morons at best. The story? No, now you have gone too far. Please don't be a fool and actually see Careless. I feel so ashamed for letting this refuse violate my mind.
... View MoreAn offbeat comedy in the style of "Bottle Rocket" and "After Hours".I had my trepidations about watching this film but I am very happy that I did go and see this film. Why? In general the cast of this film is very talented especially Colin Hanks as Wiley Roth.Addtionally the whole plot is just so different from the reprocessed crap that usually comes out of Hollywood. Wiley Roth(Hanks) finds a severed human finger in his kitchen one night. Understandably freaked out, Wiley and his best friend Mitch try to figure out the mystery of the finger, in a search across Los Angeles that brings them in contact with psychics, ineffectual police, crooked taxidermists, mysterious neighbors who might be on drugs, and a nine-fingered woman named Cheryl who might, improbably, end up being the girl of his dreams.I would recommend this film to anyone who wants to watch a generally funny and entertaining film.A well deserved 9 out of 10
