Capitalism: A Love Story Trailers

Michael Moore comes home to the issue he's been examining throughout his career: the disastrous impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans (and by default, the rest of the world).

It is just too bad to see the whole title is driven by the idea that fear was the ideal engine for the wealthy to steal .Well now the director is using the same to insight a revolution .Please add some analysis to the claims ...

It's 2017, Obama is no longer president, Donald Trump has been in office for over 2 months now. We've seen nothing change since the time of this documentary. The biggest change (and most unpredictable) has got to be... Donald got elected. See the irony? What does that say about the mentality/desire of this nation?Obama's presidency did not do justice to his constituents; and he himself became just another helpless politician in the pockets of the rich of the corrupted Wall Street and corporations. The top 1% is still enjoying their taxes cut and the expansion of their wealth. The middle-class is shrinking both in size and spending power. The low-income class is expanding and continuing to suffer in their dark landscape of misery.Justice is still leaning onto the side of the rich and the privilege ones. The banking industry is still under-regulated and Wall Street is still operating the same way as before the bailout. No one (except maybe a few low-echelon people) in the financial sector get indicted let alone go to prison. The band plays on, the champagne corks pop, and the capitalism party dances all the way to the bank... until the next bailout...

I genuinely appreciate Moore's film but it also saddens me deeply that he is not brave enough to point his finger at US."The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a FEW POINTS and REPEAT THEM OVER AND OVER" (J. Goebbels) - On WAR for PEACE, WHICH SIDE are you CHEERLEADING for? America is FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY. YES WE CAN!"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it" (A. Hitler).THE 1% KNOW THAT THEY ARE MANIPULATING US - WE, THE 95%, DON'T KNOW THAT WE ARE BELIEVING THEM 95% of the time. Who buys more Nike trainers, smokes more Marlboro, watches more TV (including the commercials!) - the 95% or the 1%?Who wears soldier's uniforms to invade countries for exploitation (and murder people in their millions over the years!!!) - the 95% or the 1%? Who believes and cheers for WAR FOR PEACE? 1% can't cheer that loud!!!Who buys more products produced in 3rd World Countries and thereby creating misery and dependency - the 95% or the 1%?How can the 1% elect and reelect human rights violating Presidents if they have only one percent of the votes? How can the 1% do the daily work for CIA/US Army/NSA etc with a proved record of severely violating the rights of the 95% if they all work on Wall St.?As long as we take the $1000 cheque for cleaning the house we have just been kicked out of we have NO MORAL FOUNDATION TO BLAME THE 1%.It's not CAPITALISM that humiliates US, it is OUR CONSUMERISM of lies. It's 1% dealers vs. 95% addicts. It deeply hurts me to admit but I am one of you.

Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) *** (out of 4) Michael Moore's documentary taking a look at the financial issues striking terror in America as more and more people are forced out of their homes, losing their jobs and finding any hope for their futures taken away while the richest of the rich just keep getting stronger and stronger. I'd be lying if I said I was a fan of Michael Moore but I can always be open when viewing any film. Even though I'm not a fan there's simply no way to deny that the man has a talent in creating these documentaries even when he takes liberties with the truth. Several of his earlier films are items that I really wouldn't call documentaries but CAPITALISM: A LOVE STORY is one of his better films because, like ROGER & ME, he's fighting for the poor and not just simply going after headlines. This film offers up testimony from those most effected by greed, those who have lost their homes and of course those who benefited are the ones refuses to go on camera. Moore uses all of these stories and mixes them in with news clips showing how this downfall could have been prevented but instead of doing something to help the poor it seemed like more and more was done to make sure the rich could get more dimes from those with no money. The film, I'm sure, takes some liberties with facts but I think the end story is something obvious to see. There's no question that Moore knows how to tell a story and that he knows how to take information, milk it for everything it's worth and then add it to the fire and create more smoke. Moore does a very good job here at showing exactly what happened, who benefited from the bad stuff and why nothing was done. Of course, in the end, nothing really is shown to be working and there's really no answers in regards to the future. We're shown the one "hope" but viewing this film three years after its release has shown that this hasn't worked either.
