Before the final I was gonna give 6 stars but what was that....

Vince Vaughan gives one of the best performances of his career in this film it's just a shame the script wasn't as good. This is a really silly plot However some of the fight scenes are excellent. It's worth watching for Vaughan's performance though.

The title could not be clearer and still the amount and level of violence still may take some by surprise. That doesn't mean you don't have a story or rather character development. Great acting, great choreography and a very powerful story, that really can be gripping. Our main character may not be a perfect role model, but he is very charismatic.And things happen, especially when he has to team up and do things that go against his moral code. So even when he decides to do the right thing, that gets him into trouble - and therefor also the people he loves and holds dear to him. From there ... well it's one of the best prison movies out there, if you don't mind the visceral and brutal things that are happening on screen ...

Ok it did kinda drag for a bit in the beginning. But I like how it picked up . He surprised me turning into a effective prisoner with a goal . I don't want to give anything away . But I rather liked how he protected his family. And the kills were done well . It kept my attention at the end for sure .
