Brain Dead Trailers

A sleepy fishing port town is consumed with terror when a small crater crash-lands nearby and releases a slimy parasitic agent that transforms the residents into brain-eating zombies. Cornered in an abandoned fishing lodge, six strangers are forced to band together to stave off the blood-sucking monsters clawing the walls outside.

I saw this at the GoreZone magazine Gore-Fest this weekend- in London (it was the UK premier-) i was looking forward to seeing this film- and although the title is ludicrously unoriginal - (most people will think it's Dead Alive/Brain Dead let's be honest!!) it didn't disappoint. Packed full of excellent splatter gore and comedic situations- and not taking itself too seriously- A breath of (not so) fresh air - and more than holds it's own in it's genre. Some great comedic acting from the felon reluctantly on the run handcuffed to a dim witted trigger happy psycho- and the eye candy cliché babes in distress also did well with tongue firmly in cheeks and totally self aware of their stereotype! I recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Bad Taste, Brain Dead, Undead- and Kevin S. Tenneys previous works 'Night of the Demons' & 'Witchboard'. Enjoy.

It was cool to see a new movie from Kevin Tenney, director of some genre classics like Night of the Demons and Witchboard. I was excited when I saw his name on the credits, when I saw this at Rock and Shock last year. It is a fun cheesy movie with some awesome gore, but the plot and story are an exact copy of Slither and Night of the Creeps. Well, not exact, but close. It has aliens and worms and infected people, and so on. All in all, it is pretty good, but not as good as the director's previous works. In the beginning, as another person said, it has such an awesome gore scene. I hope it comes on DVD eventually. Just funny how there are a couple other movies with the same title haha.

I saw this film at Nevermore Film Festival on Feb 24th. It was the film I was looking forward to the most and I must admit that it did not disappoint. It was my favorite of the 9 I saw that weekend. My favorite things about horror films are the gore and the cheese and this film was full of both! This film had some of the best gore I had seen in a long time. Not best as in most realistic, but best as in most entertaining. One of the best scenes is with in the first 5-10 mins of the movie. It was a great way to start it off! This film def didn't take itself too seriously which made it so much fun to watch. It had some great one liners and some ridiculous situations that kept you laughing through most of the film.If this film is showing in a festival near you, or if you happen to see it on DVD, do yourself a favor and SEE IT. You will not be disappointed.

I just finished watching this movie at the Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Ky. It's a pretty damn good little film. While it's not ground breaking in any way, it's a lot of fun and brings T & A back to horror films where it belongs. Back in the 80's breasts and horror went hand in hand, sadly that's no longer so except for fine films like this one. The biggest problem I think this film will have in finding an audience is the name since there are already at least two other films in the genre that go by the same title. Hopeful I'll be able to pick it up on DVD soon. Begin SpoilerBy the way, beware that space amoebas hide in the strangest places.End Spoiler
