Please don't miss it! Awesome movie. One of my favorite Asian films. It's an excellent thriller with drama and very, very good horror with lots of gore and a very good twist at the end.It combines a great story about the mind and the subconscious, multiple personality, excellent visuals and a classic Asian ghost, but this ghost is better and scarier than the classic Asian ghost we know.Take your time to see this film in the right environment, at night, no lights, good loud speakers, and let yourself go by this great piece of film. It may seem a bit slow at the beginning, but as the film progresses, you can't take your eyes off!.Bravo!!!
... View MoreI am highly surprise that why these kind of movies are labelled as "horror".This movie is more like a psychological suspense movie rather then horror. The plot is taken from various movies like "Identity","Fight Club" where personality disorder is depicted at the end of the movie.I am a huge fan of Thailand horror movies but this was movie was a letdown in terms of script and the climax.Final Verdict - Acting:5/10 Script:3/10 Cinematography:6/10 Direction:4/10Is this movie recommended : No (Give it a miss)
... View More"Body #19" is an interesting Thai Horror Movie with pretty stunning visuals. There are several pretty stunning scenes, most surrounding the central long haired female ghost (yes, they did it again) but compared with other Asian horror movies of that kind they propped up the scare scenes with loads of great visual effects. Scenes like when the ghost appears in the museum with hundreds of butterflies or the finale sure are eye candy. The whole cinematography of the movie is great (although I wished they had cut down on the use of a wide angle lense). The movie revolves around a guy who lives with his sister and starts having strange dreams about a woman being murdered and her ghost (which is presented more like a monster than a ghost) haunting him to find her body. From here a very slow unfolding of the story begins (the movie is more than 2hours long) which inter-cuts between several characters that are brought together in the end with a twist that to me seemed pretty forced. At least I have seen the Multipersonlity-Disorder twist done way better in other movies while here many loose ends are not connected but typically for Thai movies mixed with a pretty cheesy love-story and even cheesier music. The whole thing starts really promising, then gets a little hard to watch for its endless lag in playing time and in the end turns out to be a rather messy mix of nice ideas that just don't fit. There is ghost scares, not too little blood, great CGI Effects and loads of drama and psychology mixed in. Some of the scenes could have become classics if the movie wasn't so stretched and disjointed. Anyway, if you are into great visuals "Body #19" still is worth watching.
... View MoreMy wife take me to the cinema I wasn't very enthusiastic though there was a lot of publicity for this movie.Frankly I was falling a sleep for the first part, I couldn't understand well what was it about.. ghost, spirit or else... but finally when I realize what it was about I really appreciate the movie and wanted to see it again just after finished it. The story once you are in is interesting, the graphic are nice as well as the actor and the music I love it the song is : Body sop 19 -บอดี้ ศพ19 -คิดถึงเธอทุกที(ที่อยู่คนเดียว)there is a video clip on :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yefrps5xT3AFor me it's one of the best Thai movies some of you might think that 9/10 it's maybe too much; you are welcome to share your point of view.
