This is worse than You're Next. OMG! Why do people like this? This was about a student getting revenge on a teacher and students on a reunion. Nothing about a home evasion like You're Next. Come on, you see someone in a bunny mask and assume that You're Next is a rip off. How stupid is that? You're Next was heck of a lot better than this trash. Not really the same plot and you say You're Next is a rip off of it. Dang if I seen stupid crap, but hearing that tops the dummies out there. Impeccable? Where in this movie? Your nuts.Watch some more horror movies before saying one is a rip off of another. Geez some people. I had to watch this, even when I knew these people saying it was a rip off of this one, and what a waste of time it was too. Man some should not be able to put a review on this site at all.

"Bloody Reunion" had me suckered in with the "the best Korean horror film in years" label that it brandished on the DVD cover. Well, I guess whomever is reviewing for beyondhollywood.com doesn't watch a lot of Korean horror movies, because this movie is nowhere near being in the top 10 of Korean horror movies. That being said, don't get me wrong, I am not saying that "Bloody Reunion" is a bad or boring movie far from it. It did have its moments, and there were some fairly interesting deaths along the way, plus a nice twist of events. However, the movie turned out to be rather mundane and predictable in the end.As for the horror aspect, well it just hardly wasn't there. "Bloody Reunion" is more of a slasher movie than it is a proper horror movie, especially because you don't really get thrilled or have that 'edge of your seat' sensation at any point throughout the movie. The people cast for most of the roles were actually doing good jobs with their given roles. And the characters in the movie were really nicely fleshed out and detailed, that was one of the better aspects to this movie. There are some really interesting horror movies coming out of Asia quite often, "Bloody Reunion" however, is just a bit too average and doesn't really stand out. There are far better horror movies, even Korean ones, out there, if you enjoy Asian horror films. If you are new to the Asian horror scene, then "Bloody Reunion" is a good starting point, but for us veterans to the Asian horror scene, it just doesn't really make the cut - pardon the pun!Class dismissed...

That is to say, this movie wasn't great. Some genuine horror, one in particular involving razor blades was particularly disturbing, but I felt the story and the twist ending didn't jive well. I like to have a chance to possibly guess the twist but sometimes that twist is more just a complete 180 out of the blue that almost negates everything you just watched. All the same the story itself, that unravels during most of the movie, is a reunion of students who visit their now sick and aged teacher, all of whom have issues with how she treated them as well as issues with each other. As I said above, the actual events of this reunion that unfold rather well into a very interesting story of bitterness and revenge are almost negated by the movies twist ending.Still worth a watch if you are a horror fan.

I found this movie on Netflix one day with very little experience in East Asian Cinema. This film definitely helped set the bar for me. Atmospheric and spooky, the film details what would appear to be a rather incredulous story. Your opinion swiftly changes when the antagonist appears. While the storyline can at times seem to drag, it picks up the slack and eventually rushes to a roaring climax. I found that even the gore, which I usually find distasteful, was done creatively enough that I didn't mind. And despite a few weak performances and an occasional plot hole, the overall story is gripping with enough plot twists to keep you on your toes long after you think you have the ending pegged.
