Blood Ranch Trailers

Four college students and an Iraq War vet, lost on a desert highway, encounter a terrified young woman with a black van on her trail. They survive the ensuing chase but their car doesn't, forcing them to seek help at a nearby ranch. Only when it's too late does the group learn that it's crossed the threshold into Hell! Welcome to the Web, home to a bizarre cult of murderers, perverts and mental defectives, whose sacraments include mutilation, dismemberment, unspeakable sex acts, and slow, agonizing death for all who enter. None of their "guests" have ever made it out alive. Tonight may be different...but don't count on it.

I almost spit-out my popcorn. It began with a very loose and care-free feel to it, then suddenly, the convenient store clerk and other people in the started acting morose and dreadful. The little girl sitting outside of the store was so cute, but monotone. I'm guessing she was the executive producers daughter or family friend. the other actors were entertaining and believable. the story overall was fun and scary. If you want to have good entertaining fun, rent this funny- scary movie. This movie actually reminds me of a parody of scary movie. The one thing I think you will enjoy is that the young ladies are all cute and sexy and pretty good actresses.

Look, the movies called "BLOOD RANCH" not "Orchids for Chocolate" or some such so don't go into to it with grand expectations and you'll be OK. While being fairly transgressive, the film never falls too deeply into torture porn territory and is campy enough for a few laughs.Season Hamilton is pretty easy on the eyes as the "Good Girl" and I was relieved we didn't have to see her abused in any sub-human way (although the same can't be said for everyone in this flick). I would have liked to see her running around topless maybe, but alas, that was not to be. In fact the complete lack of nudity was a little disappointing, but oh well.My one complaint was the depiction of rural Americans. In too many movies anyone who lives more than fifteen minutes from a 7-eleven is portrayed as a wild-eyed sex murderer- My experience as a rural American is quite the contrary- I lived the first half of my life as a child in the Mohave- the son of the leader of a cargo cult that worshiped an eight-ball shifter knob and a pair of old fuzzy dice and not once can I remember a single member of our "Family" kidnapping, torturing or raping anyone- let alone a car load of hip young people lost in the desert- although at times I can't say we weren't tempted.

Oh my God - where to start?? Quite possibly the worst horror film I've ever seen. The set up had potential - however the makers of this drivel seem to have tried to select bits and pieces from other superior films. So what makes it soooooo bad. - well here goes; the acting is terrible, the effects are shoddy, the script is corny , the direction is so poor that you wonder whether it is actually a joke. Please don't be fooled by all the high ratings that this drivel is getting. Its not even one of the "its so bad thats its good" brigade.to be avoided at all costs!! You have been warned.

Well, well well. Where do I start. I have been a fan of horror/splatter movies my whole life. I really like when the movie takes me by surprise and makes me stop breathing. I have seen so many movies in this genre and many of the has been rather bad and tedoius, but in some way I have enjoyed then anyway. So what defines a good horror flic? The script? The camera? The actors? the number of kills? The sound? Or is it the amount of really nasty scenes? Blood Ranch has absolutely nothing of the above. Just look at the editing and camera-work in the movie. I have never seen anything so poor in my life. Take the car chase in the beginning. In one scene they are driving on a highway, and the next clip they are on a "dirtroad", and then back to the highway again. Over and over again in the same scene. Not to mention the use of same clips for different parts in the movie. The editing in whole are just a joke, my 13 year old boy edits our home filmed clips way better to be honest. Blood ranch really tries to be all that and fails miserably from the very start. The story isn't much to talk about. It's been done hundreds of times before in different versions. But it's Blood Ranch strongest part, because it's truly weird. I have so much bad things to say about this movie and I could go on and on about it. Like when (spoiler) the madman shows the girl the chopped of head they are going to have for dinner. In that scene you can clearly see the actor moving his eyelids constantly, and thats kinda strange for a chopped off head.I will end this before all this becomes a ranting of misery over this movie. My final word will be a plea that the version that I saw is NOT the finished version, and that I got ripped off buying a bad illegal screener instead of a legal release. This one will sit in my bookshelf as the all time high disappointment in my horror collection.
