This film tested my limited knowledge of German and there were no subtitles to piggyback off of either! The real hero for me is the remaining head of the "gut" or "good" Templars, but his second-in-command is a better leader in my view. The villains are definitely sepulchral and that is as it should be, yet in their view they are as pure or better than the real Templars - they pulled a smart one in making the boy David believe the Head Templar tried to kill his girlfriend - but think about it? When did he use anything but a sword? As for the training of David, while thorough, that seems too fast for the space of time elapsed in the film, yet this is "Berlin-wood" I guess...The fiercest fighter was at the end, a long haired "good" Templar who fought six men at the same time, he was my favorite! The movie was long yet very fast-paced and it had a great cliff-hanger that seems a bit like another tale from a long long ago in a galaxy far, far away, LOL!Still, I eagerly await the conclusion and its repercussions!!http://tinyurl.com/3464k/

1 Cup "Indiana Jones"-flour1 Cup "Highlander"-sugar1 dash of "Underworld"-yeast1 Cup "National Treasure"-spice2 Cups of skimmed milk á lá "The Da Vinci Code"Mix it all thoroughly together and bake it in your DVD-player at 400 degrees for approximately 3 hours. After removing from the oven sift over a measure of icing sugar and arrange with various items of fineries - before serving it with a load of fantasy and decent marketing.

I rented the DVD today despite the jacket cover not being overly influential. The most difficult part was locating this movie on this website since it is called Code of the Templars on the DVD, and nothing recognizable pulled up in a search. I was only able to find it by searching an actor's name. The hardest part for me with this movie was getting beyond the English dubbing. I could tell that the casting was done well and that the cast were good actors of good caliber, but the dubbing initially was poorly done and I almost ejected it from the player. I would like an opportunity to view this movie without the dubbing and read subtitles. This movie is once again about the holy good-goodies versus the greedy baddies sword-fighting and duking it out to fight to drink from the grail, and the opposers to fight to protect the secret location of the holy grail. Such movie plots are fun and enjoyable, and this one was no different. The lopping of heads was similar to Highlander, but the main difference was we got to see the gushing blood, which I think could have and I would have preferred it if it'd have been left out. There were times I felt the sword fights were too long and one was particularly not done well to the point of being corny .. almost as if to say, let's stick in a fight for some film. Also, I think if some of the gore and shortening some of the sword fights my knees would not have started aching due to sitting so long. But, since I was able to move about I didn't quit viewing it .. I was enjoying it. I'm just glad I'd not seen it with commercials or my body would not have been able to cope. For a holy grail treasure hunt foreign movie, this one was entertaining with explanations to keep guiding me through as things unfolded. Once I got past the bad dubbing that was done at the start, I got into it and enjoyed it.

Some good moments, so many bad onesThis made for TV movie has definitely some good moments, no it's not the script, that's a bad moment – it's the locations for example. Shot in Lithuania, with some truly breathtaking views of the former Russian enclave.Story sets around the legendary temple knights and, yes you guessed it, 'Highlander'. (Twist your neck again and again bad fellow) Young student (Mirko Land) doesn't know he is a chosen one, a direct descendant of one of the founding temple members…. Bad thing is, he is wanted by both his parents, his evil mom and noble dad. (Harald Krassnitzer – He's really good) and then it's about the holy grail – again… Minus point: Absolutely cool sword fights (for a TV Movie) are completely and utterly ruined with loud and cheep computer music. Why? Why on earth do German TV Movies have to have an abundance of music in all the wrong places. This one is no. 1 for worst sound design and music, EVER in MOVIE. Watch any US / GB / FRENCH sword fights and voila, the less music the better – morons. To round it up. Whatever happened to former beauty Catherine Flemming? Here she looks like a mob and is completely out of place acting wise. Two part miniseries, good ratings but lost about 1 Million viewers on the second part. No wonder, 'you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all times…'
