There are two main plotholes to this story: 1- Why would a genius so smart to have been able to build such a complex world be so stupid to let so many childish software bugs exist in the world so that the captive copies can use them against him? How can you even make an actual thinking person being able to remember their past or parallel life by a copy of their DNA? 2- Why would a genius build a virtual world in which there is a wormhole by which the captives can not only escape from it but also get him entraped to death?! Not so genius.

This was a good episode. Enjoyable, liked the main character, and it's well shot. A little devoid of emotion though.

I know "black mirror fans" hates this one because it's not 'bleak' or maybe because it doesn't turn out with a bad ending, maybe it is a little clitche at the ending but guess what... it's THE BEST black mirror produced so far.I've been a fan of the series since season 1, this episode is by far the best structured with one of the most fulfilling stories, good characters, a flawed and perfectly executed villain and an incredible story well told. This is what cinema should be about. We shouldn't be judging chapters by how "similar" they are to the concept or if it's doing the series a well deserved black ending, we should be enjoying chapters for how good they are written how satisfying they are.Being a Trek fan AND a gamer, I would say I loved all the references. There are lots of good details inside, this is my new found GEM.

I was really dreading this episode of "Black Mirror". I thought this was going to tank the entire 4th season. So I was extremely surprised to say that this is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series.I'm dead serious. This is a fantastic episode.I really like this episode's venture into dark comedy, while most of the other episodes are more disturbing. Don't get me wrong, this still has the dark and disturbing feeling of most other episodes, but it also has that humorous feeling which most others lack.I really enjoyed the performance from Jesse Plemons (Fargo). He was a character that I actually felt bad for, but then he actually showed the audience his true colors in an extremely good performance.Lastly, I also enjoyed the Star Trek feel of the episode. Of course, this was highly intentional, and it absolutely worked. This is probably this most overtly sci-fi episode of the show, and it was a surprisingly good gamble to take.Overall, "USS Callister" is a fantastic episode, and completely exceeded my expectations (which were pretty low to begin with).
