This is a documentary, dealing with the likeliness of The Caped Crusader's gadgets existing in real life. It is admitted that several of the rather... theatrical and elaborate ones do, well, defy physical laws(the medium of graphic novels certainly has grown), however, quite a few are realistic, in the comics and the Chris Nolan films(the only ones of the silver screen releases of the overall franchise dealt with here... in case you didn't think that this was, at least to an extent, a promotional piece) alike. This consists of interviews, drawn material, movie clips, footage from behind the scenes as well as demonstrations of the technology, some of it even live-action(the rest is computer-generated). This is paced and edited well and doesn't overstay its welcome. The explanations are all nice, easy enough to understand and interesting, including how Kevlar works, and more specific ones, such as the grappling gun, fire-proof suit and the new vehicles. The experts all come off as perfectly credible, and the tone is kept a fitting mix of serious and excited throughout. It's undeniably a special experience to see a woman keep a straight face whilst using words that go something like "we at the CIA" and "what Batman would use" in the same sentence. I recommend this to anyone who wants to know about the equipment used by The Dark Knight. 8/10
