From the start I always thought that Barbie would eventually become a mermaid, this was not the case. Throughout the movie there were multiple points where a transformation from human to mermaid from Barbie would have easily fit in to the storyline, each time I was let down. The characters were more realistic looking then older Barbie movies, all their eyebrows were "on fleek". However, it seems fake for young girls such as Chelsea, the youngest sister to have gotten her eyebrows threaded or waxed. Also another disappointing reference was how Ken and Barbie are in fact NOT DATING!!!!!! - they were my childhood as we say "couple goals". Next, I understand that Barbie received the shell from Isla and uses it once to find her but WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? There was also some inconsistency throughout the plot. Isla consistently uses her shell to transform from mermaid to human. However, when Barbie is gifted a shell, she cannot use it in the same way that Isla can. Overall we were all waiting for the iconic transformation of Barbie, and shocked that it never occurred.

Since I loved this movie of this. Where to start...It starts off with Emerald the Dolphin that was being kidnapped by the fishermen's boat and started taking him to Marlo's place whether he was being sick or injured, Without Emerald, all the other dolphins lost their Cutie Marks and somehow needs to bring in order to be reunited, Meanwhile Barbie and her sisters, were exploring the hotel room for the first time, while going underwater exploring through vast ocean, until then that they found a mermaid that Skipper tooked. Later Isla as a Mermaid showed to see Emerald and wants to set him free to be reunite without being kidnapped by Marlo again. So Barbie and her friends had a plan to team up with Isla to rescue the dolphins from that famed and Greedy Marlo, who wants to make a lot of money that would worth herself a Fortune. So here are my thoughts of this Barbie Movie: It was Beautiful, Gentle Story as well as Teamwork and supportive to other people.I also really love the Incarnation of this Barbie version.Beautifully Bone-Structured, Exploring Underwater Adventure. It had one of the Best Moral that I've ever heard from a Barbie Movie! One of the Best part that I've seen is where Barbie was making breakfast, But Chelsea wants to wake Isla out of bed, while Barbie wakes her up saying "Breakfast Sandwiches" and Isla wakes Up.Another Best part in my Opinion was that Barbie and friends gathered around, at the resturant singing "Treasure" was the Best One!I personally do recommend this Barbie movie and it is still Worth Watching! :) <3Update:P.S. : As of 6/15/2018, Barbie Dolphin Magic was a Success for Netflix streaming, Creations might plan on making some new Barbie movies in the near future. (Depends if it going to be in few months or the entire Year.)My rating score: 10/10End of story and review!

I've rented every Barbie-related video for my 4 year-old daughter and of course she seems to enjoy them. From an adults perspective I think they're so-so. They certainly don't have near the quality as any theater release(s) and even some other made-for-kids videos I've seen, but it's suitable for youngsters. The video was chock full of what would appear to be decent songwriting, but there was nothing that was awe-inspiring or catchy. In the end my daughter lost interest after about 15 - 20 minutes, which isn't a good sign. Of course, with the tie-ins from the endless supply of Barbie commercials with the tag line "HEAR BARBIE SING FOR THE FIRST TIME". I'm sure the sales will be good. NOTE: There's nothing more annoying than a 'staged' blooper reel. By Barbie's standards and those who love this kind of 'kid friendly' fare, I'm sure it was a noteworthy product. While I realize that it was not written for my age bracket, I still have to sit through it and so am entitled to an honest opinion. While I'm not critical of this movie in front of my own child, my outlet is in this forum.I have an imagination and have found numerous movies for the younger set entertaining because they'll make a nod or two to the adult viewer. Sadly, I found nothing of that nature in this release and detected the distinct use of a marketing tools/gimmicks to win child viewers. On my end, when the target audience can't even be entertained, I feel a bit more justified in the posting of MY OWN review. Lighten up, it's an opinion and obviously not shared by the apparent 'Magic of Barbie' that was missed by my family.

This is without a doubt, the highest form of Autism. To think that we have gone from visual and literary masterpieces like Shawshank Redemption, to garbage like this. It's flat out unacceptable that movies like this even get made. This film, it's like what Taylor Swift is to Mozart——a literal disgrace to the entire core concept of that media's origin. And to think, Hollywood is wondering why so many big budget movies are flopping nowadays, well, take a look at this right here, because it's a very prime example of what is destroying the entire concept and passion of film. If the creators of this...abomination cared about anything except for money, they would immediately destroy this movie and submit a formal apology across all forms of social media. Then, at least they could attempt to craft an original work of art; one that hopefully doesn't just piggy-back off of 50 year old girl dolls.People may like this movie, but I really only think it's because they don't know any better. I don't like this movie because, unlike them, I actually care about films, and the art form they invariably stand for.
