It's all too fashionable to be politically conscious these days and there are few contemporary songwriters who can extend their credibility beyond the middle finger they've made so much money with since George W. Bush came into office. Enter Greg Graffin, anthropology major, and voice behind Bad Religion, a band celebrating their 25th year together in 2006. I must admit that I am as much a fan of the music as I am the lyrical content. It should also be noted that Bad Religion are not an anti-Christian band. The imagery invoked by the more the 30 song, career-spanning set suggest that one be true to him/herself, and to be aware of attempts made by the government, media, and yes, religion, to program you. I recommend viewing in a dark room with the volume cranked (but clear! Don't go damaging your speakers!), and above all, even if the music doesn't suit your taste (mute it for all I care) watch the concert with the subtitles on at least once.
