I have to say, I was surprised to see Graham Norton as a french BSDM loving teacher. Like really, he was good but I think he took a big risk in taking part. It's not that he's a bad actor, it's just he could've done better by not getting involved with this poorly rated movie. It would be better if made his character role more romantic then being a rough guy.Jarrod and Griff were cute together, I wish the movie concentrated on them rather then the lot of them who seemed to have very snobby lives. I also wish they didn't have to be always hooking up with other people in which in the end, will not live happily ever after. I'm glad I don't need to watch the sequel, this is enough to look at!
... View MoreI love comedies, so having read the reviews; I bought the DVD on Amazon. Now I'm not a film maker but I'm almost sure there's a process to making a movie that involves hundreds if not thousands of people depending on the size of the budget etc. I guess the process starts with a concept, an idea, then a writer or scriptwriters, showing it to someone, getting financial backing, finding a director, auditioning actors, arranging a production crew etc. I wonder how many individuals were involved in the making of this movie and during the whole process - from the initial concept to the director shouting 'it's a rap' - did anyone stop to point out that they were making one of the worst movies in the history of film making, a big streaming pile of dog sh*t.I was lucky enough to resell my DVD to some poor sap on eBay.
... View MoreAs some reviewers noted here, this movie is a gay version of American Pie. I therefore propose it to be renamed "American Fudge".The film "Another Teen Movie" was a spoof on most teenage movies, the way they are made and their story lines. I thought this would be parallel--a spoof on most gay movies. But the director's creativity stopped at just rainbow-coloring the American Pie. I'm not going to criticize sex scenes--they are quite adequate for the film's rating. But if you are going to make a movie about gay teens, at least enable it to get a rating for them to see it. I did not like any of the sex scenes that were not funny, nor did I like any kissing etc., but this opinion is biased since I'm straight. I must add I was particularly disgusted by the scene with the old man and the "girly" boy. We hear too many times about this type of homosexual men going for underage boys (sometimes even early teens). They like their boys young and quite often the law is disregarded when no one is watching. I found the scenes with the teacher to be funny, not because of gross stuff that happened there, but because of the situation the character found himself in. To me it looked like rude humor. I also like the helpful daddy with all those butt plugs (he's a wonderful parent, ain't he?!) To sum up, I wouldn't say the movie was awful. I'm a psychologist and I bet there are a lot of men out there with homosexual curiosity who never admit to anyone they have it for various reasons. They might be buying/renting this movie to safely satisfy this curiosity, as it is disguised as a mainstream comedy. So for the right audience, this film is great. It's very gay, it's nude and doesn't stop at cuddling. Does it correctly portray real-life gay relationships and emotional issues? I don't think so. "American Fudge" is a movie, and it's a spoof, not a documentary.
... View MoreAmerican Pie with Queers! Stay away, stay away I said. But being the sucker that I can often be, I jumped in this parody pool with both feet and came up not only wet but laughing my ass off! This parody delivers. Good production, good acting and great directing. To quote Miss America "It is subversive and albeit filthy and raunchy, but at the same time, believe it or not, is intelligent and skewers the best and worst of modern day gay culture and gay life. This is one of the best gay films I've seen recently. I will definitely recommend it to everyone I know that is receptive to this kind of film. The movie while being a spoof still has its own message and merits. See this movie if you haven't already!
