It had to happen at some stage, did it not? The whole American Pie larger than life lad flick feel given a coat of pink paint and a liberal dusting of glitter! Another Gay Movie is that movie. An entertaining light-hearted romp through stereotypical eyes at the lives of four teenage friends who agree to lose company with their virginity before summer's last stand. It is without a doubt one of the most outrageous gay parody films ever seen. The jokes come thick and fast and there are some that come pretty close to crossing from boundary from scandalous to bad taste. It is a silly and irreverent look at gay sexuality and lifestyles with all the exaggerations expected of a parody of this time of film. The whole plot line for example should give you all you need to know about the movie before you sit down and watch it, four gay guys desperate to lose the big V plates in a few short weeks and that is basically it. Perhaps like most spoofs the joke aspect grows thin a quarter of an hour in and the jokes just become banal and stereotypical. It get's a mention in The Top 50 Most Influential Gay Movies Of All Time book, but what position did it reach? I love comedies, so having read the reviews; I bought the DVD on Amazon. Now I'm not a film maker but I'm almost sure there's a process to making a movie that involves hundreds if not thousands of people depending on the size of the budget etc. I guess the process starts with a concept, an idea, then a writer or scriptwriters, showing it to someone, getting financial backing, finding a director, auditioning actors, arranging a production crew etc. I wonder how many individuals were involved in the making of this movie and during the whole process - from the initial concept to the director shouting 'it's a rap' - did anyone stop to point out that they were making one of the worst movies in the history of film making, a big streaming pile of dog sh*t.I was lucky enough to resell my DVD to some poor sap on eBay.

i voted 1 for this "so called" movie and i am so sad 'cause there is no zero to choose! i mean, seriously, what has happened to the world of cinema?! this weak and nonsense movie is a shame to cinema all around the world! and it has nothing to do with its gay plot, which i can not call it truly gay, or a plot! I had never seen a movie with characters so fake and vain. it was just a camera going after some actors doing aimless and boring acts WHICH WERE SUPPOSED TO MAKE US LAUGH. the plot was so shallow and nonsense that words are unable to describe! after all, what do u expect from a movie who tries to be the gay version of American pie and even copies some of its scenes exactly as the original? If you want to see a serious movie, a good movie, a gay themed movie, or just a funny movie, this is DEFINITELY not the choice.

As some reviewers noted here, this movie is a gay version of American Pie. I therefore propose it to be renamed "American Fudge".The film "Another Teen Movie" was a spoof on most teenage movies, the way they are made and their story lines. I thought this would be parallel--a spoof on most gay movies. But the director's creativity stopped at just rainbow-coloring the American Pie. I'm not going to criticize sex scenes--they are quite adequate for the film's rating. But if you are going to make a movie about gay teens, at least enable it to get a rating for them to see it. I did not like any of the sex scenes that were not funny, nor did I like any kissing etc., but this opinion is biased since I'm straight. I must add I was particularly disgusted by the scene with the old man and the "girly" boy. We hear too many times about this type of homosexual men going for underage boys (sometimes even early teens). They like their boys young and quite often the law is disregarded when no one is watching. I found the scenes with the teacher to be funny, not because of gross stuff that happened there, but because of the situation the character found himself in. To me it looked like rude humor. I also like the helpful daddy with all those butt plugs (he's a wonderful parent, ain't he?!) To sum up, I wouldn't say the movie was awful. I'm a psychologist and I bet there are a lot of men out there with homosexual curiosity who never admit to anyone they have it for various reasons. They might be buying/renting this movie to safely satisfy this curiosity, as it is disguised as a mainstream comedy. So for the right audience, this film is great. It's very gay, it's nude and doesn't stop at cuddling. Does it correctly portray real-life gay relationships and emotional issues? I don't think so. "American Fudge" is a movie, and it's a spoof, not a documentary.
