I understand this is a low budget film.. that being said independent films need to make up for money with originality and spirit. Cookie cutter plot and flat acting accumulating towards ...nothing. We continued watching out of sheer amazement. Movie date night has had some real doozies in the past but nothing so empty and sad as 'anomaly'. The cast looked downright bored during key moments. The director Succeeded in demonstrating he has never spoke with any law enforcement official or clergy member. The director wanted to play it safe. Regurgitate "The Exorcist" climax and make money. No vision required.If you have ever complained about Hollywood just making the same -old movies than you will not enjoy this train wreck.

There's really no foothold to gain in order to redeem this film; none other than watching it for a laugh. Bad cinematography, bad editing, bad acting (the male character above all others) and what's more important, bad storytelling. The scenes with the priest were the ones where we laughed more hysterically: the one where the guy budges around as if he was annoyed by a mosquito rather than a demon takes the cake. (MEMO: bring insecticide rather than holy water next time.) Oh, don't forget to take a look at the fake 10 star reviews here on IMDb for an additional laugh.

I really have not seen this movie yet, but I was looking for the reviews for it to see what people thought of it before I rented it. I found a HUGE problemThis being I had a hard time finding any reviews for this actual movie as there is another movie called Anomaly which was made in 2014 by a guy named Clarke? This movie here is not the same movie! This movie is actually a horror film. This site is actually the only one that actually has any reviews for it right now. I'm guessing because it is pretty new? Not sure if it made it to theaters either? The reviews are either a1/10 or a 10/10. People are calling people liars and saying they are false reviews, but I am guessing the people that have rated it a 10/10 are the people that have seen this movie and the people giving it a 1/10 are the people that have seen the other one made in 2014. I have checked out other sites and the other one made in 2014 by Clarke has very low ratings by everyone. This is how I've come to this conclusion. So I am hoping that maybe other people that are coming on here will see that this very well could be a mix up and will give the movie a watch as there could be a reason for the bad reviews. I know I will be watching it this weekend for sure. Love a good horror flick! I will definitely come back and rate it after I have watched it.

The story was well written, very well put together. You can see the exceptional level of work done by the director in this film, from writing all the way through post production, very high quality film. Great eye and cinematography. Excellent job! The actors were exceptional, and you can see they have a great level of experience behind them. The mother was very believable! The kids did a stellar job portraying their characters, very well done in delivering a variety of emotional highs and lows. The narrator, did a fantastic job telling the story, with the understanding this person has been through some trauma and very numb, very well done. The Priest, was great, it is nice to see a younger priest in a film for a change. You can see these are working industry actors that made the story come to life with the directors vision. AAA++++++ Great late night flick!
