Pearl J has made "documentary" gold. This is the most misinformed, ridiculous, and hilarious movie that I've ever seen. Pearl J actually uses the National Enquirer and World News as her most credible sources. Not only that, but according to her it is certain that Michael Jackson's middle name is "Joe". Why? Well through extensive research she found that the actress in the TV series "The Jacksons" names Michael "Michael Joe Jackson". Yup, that must be proof! She also states (with conviction) that she "went to the second biggest law library in California and asked the librarian (who has worked there for 22 years) if it was illegal to fake your own death". She of course gets the wrong answer, but for some reason thinks it's correct since the librarian has clearly studied law. This movie is worth watching (it's free on netflix) if you are in need of a good laugh, but don't waste any money on it. The reviews for it on amazon are a mix of ones and fives--all of the fives have clearly been written by her/her friends.

I can't believe this is the first review for this "documentary" and even worse this is my first review in IMDb. I'm having a lot of trouble deciding what to write, so this review might make no sense to you, or maybe once you watch this really uninformative documentary you'll understand perfectly. This video as you may know talks about Michael Jackson faking his own death. The video is poorly narrated by Pearl Jr. someone who claims to have known MJ personally and who also claims that she did a lot of research to get to the bottom of how the king of pop is truly alive. Well, the ugly truth is, in order for a documentary be such thing, it must be proved with facts, proof, evidence (visual images or video), documents found throughout research and displayed with transparency. But the sad news is that this film contains information published in gossip TV shows and magazines, and lets face it, TMZ isn't really a legitimate source of information, and neither is the National Examiner Magazine (a magazine that claims that Oprah is cheating on her husband Stedman Graham with U.S. president Barack Obama). I was really interested in watching this film because not only am I a MJ fan, but because I too have my fingers crossed that one day he will come back. But let's face it, our idol is long gone and it seems that some people just want to take advantage of that. This documentary definitely wants to take advantage of his death. I watched the whole 52 minutes with 9 seconds (yes, I waited until after the credits to see if there was an extra scene like the ones from the x-men movies) and I can tell you it was a complete waste of time. The film is random, uninformative, and incoherent. The narrating is poor, mono-tonal , and non interactive, basically just plain boring. One of the weirdest parts about the film is that there is no sequence to it. I expect a documentary to show me the problem, the facts, reactions, and then a possible solution, this has none, it jumps from subject to subject. It is so random that at one point mentions that one big coincidence of Jackson's death is that 3 weeks after his death, Paul McCartney goes on the Letterman show and talks about the rumor that went on in the 60's about a real Paul McCartney being dead and the Beatles replacing him with the one we all know. Really? is that all you got? And you also think that an important fact in MJ's fake death is that he lived across the street from where Elvis used to live? And then mention that Elvis is still alive?I agree that there is some kind of spookiness and ambiguity about our beloved friend's death. But we just weren't expecting that from happening and we must learn to let go. I know that the Jackson family's reaction made us all wonder that maybe Michael is alive, but I thought that we ALL knew that the Jacksons aren't as solid, honest, and humble as many other families. The Jackson family history shows us that LOVE (what MJ always asked for) is not an option, but business is.I'm sorry if I went on a rampage against this film. I'm just really serious about documentaries, and most importantly in this case, I'm even more serious about the King of Pop.If Michael ever comes back, I personally will retract all this and invite the producer of the film, Pearl Jr. for dinner and apologize.Luis
