As I write this review, Airborne current has a - less than classy - 3.8 out of 10 rating on the Internet Movie Database, meaning it's pretty much of a stinker. I saw that rating before I watched it, so that possibly lowered my expectations of what was to come.I have to admit, I quite enjoyed it.Take a look at the poster. Take a look at the cast list. What do they tell you? Basically, you should know that this is little more than a low budget British thriller with no real stars. If you feel you can put up with that for just under an hour and a half, give it a go.Airborne is about an airliner which takes off from England, bound for America. There's not many passengers on it and soon there's even less when they start getting murdered one by one. There's plenty of red herrings and I doubt you'll guess what's really happening, as there are one or two nice twists. Of course for every plus point I can name, there are a fair few low points - lack of character development, daft writing here and there and a moment of sheer disbelief at the end.I know it wasn't great, but I still didn't think it was all together bad - definitely worth more than a lowly 3.8/10. About the only truly tragic thing about it was how much weight Mark Hamill has put on since he last wielded a lightsabre. I hope the Jedi order have a good weight-loss plan if he's going to reprise his role for Disney's episodes 7-9.

This is one of those low budget British movies that drags in loads and loads of familiar faces so that their names can be plastered all over the DVD cover to hopefully shift a few copies. It seems to be made by the same sort of producers who released the likes of DEAD CERT and loads of other recent British gangster movies.AIRBORNE is a plane-bound horror-cum-thriller that mixes up both a tale of supernatural possession with a more conventional hijacking-turned-robbery. It's a story that plays its cards very close to its chest for the most part, refusing to reveal much to the viewer until the last 20 minutes; as a result it's the sort of film to start making you feel restless over the amount of questions asked (and lack of forthcoming answers). On the other hand, it's often tense and sometimes exciting, featuring some mild gore and plenty of twists to keep you watching. The production values are good enough so that you don't notice the lack of budget, and the strong cast helps.Mark Hamill is featured prominently on the packaging but turns out to have one of those boring "guy on the ground" roles, but the other cast members fare better. The wonderful Alan Ford plays to type as a gangster, Billy Murray is the usual tough guy, and Andrew Shim acquits himself very well as a soldier. The only weak spot in the cast is Gemma Atkinson who comes across as totally wooden playing a stewardess; who told her she could act?

The beginning of the movie starts out decently. From the start, you sorta get a vague idea of each person on the plane. The story starts pretty quickly. Shortly after the plane takes off, the plot begins to unfold. I have to admit, the ending was almost sad, but the movie in its entirety was very pleasing. It was not slow. The characters could have been slightly more developed, but overall, I felt like I knew enough about them. I don't agree with it's 3.8 rating. I'd give it a five. It's not the greatest, but it had moments where I was a bit shocked or scared. The only thing I didn't like really was that I never felt a connection with any one character. By the end I felt for all of them who were still alive, but there was never one character that I was rooting for. There wasn't an emotional connection. Also, I feel like the mentioning of the myth that surrounds the vase should have been done earlier on so that the audience gets a better feel for whats going on. But of course, this is just my opinion.

This film was a huge let down and the reason it is such a big let down is because i feel this film had potential and it could have been good if the film had been executed right but sadly it just flopped and became too stupid for me. I didn't mind the beginning of this film i actually thought it started off okay, sure the acting is not very good and the characters were kind of weird but i was able to put up with that because i thought the film was going to get exciting and develop a Fun story and it was quite interesting to begin with,i liked the idea of a bunch of people being trapped on an Airplaine and i thought it was kind of interesting when people started disappearing on the Airplaine it kept me guessing as to what was going on and i like that in a movie it makes it suspenseful and suspense is never a bad thing in a film,in fact i quite like suspense in a movie it makes the film more mysterious and thought provoking.Sadly this film took quite a while to get started and that's one of the problems with this film and the other is the characters they all seemed to be one dimensional characters with no personality.at the start of the movie we are introduced to all of them at the Airport, the lazy man the fat man,the red head flight attendant lady and the blonde women, some old guy,and some weird mysterious guy,a couple of Army boys and a few others and i found it sad that their characters were written so poorly. this film had very poor characters but i guess that's to be expected from such a low budget film and Bad writing, but it was still disappointing nun the less because some of the scenes on the Airplaine i quite liked, there was a scene on the Airplaine when a couple were together at the front of the plaine kissing and someone came into their room and they asked the person what's wrong? and we never see the persons face, all we see is the person smack the man in the face with a fire extinguisher!. later in the movie when the man and his girlfriend never return to their seats on the Airplaine its pretty obvious what's happened its obvious that the person from earlier killed both of them and that's why they are not back, and from there onward the story becomes quite predictable and its obvious there is a killer on the Airplaine and the killer is obviously one of the passengers and the viewers have to figure out who it is and i didn't mind that idea because i like whodunit stories but i just felt this one was poorly done, you had so many people disappearing left and right and so many things didn't make sense, also there is this one ridiculous scene in the movie when this fat man goes missing and the people are so stupid that they don't even realise he's gone missing!. None of the characters saw the man leave and none of them even seemed to remember him except for one person!.Also how can a man go missing on an Airoplaine? especially a man as big as him?.It does Not make any sense to me and it doesn't make sense that the killer can kill this man and nobody notices! nobody see's or hears a thing?.How was that even possible? i have No idea.Later in the film a few body's are found and its revealed that someone is killing off the passengers, although they didn't really need to explain that because it was pretty obvious what was going on from the start. This film is very predictable and very flawed and the film has a few plot holes and allot of the characters did stupid things which made me not like any of them, and the one guy i did like who happened to be the lazy guy he then started acting stupid too which made me not like him anymore either, and the ending of this film completely destroyed It!. There are so many stupid twists in this film and things that don't make any sense, but the ending was the worst part of the film for me, its the ending that i hated and found the stupidest!. This film has one of the most ridiculous endings iv'e ever seen!. Please Avoid this film! it is very Ridicoulous! and poorly written.
